Here's what this is all about:
šš» Honest, deep conversations are valuable and important. They develop greater connection and trust within, and between, yourself and the people in your life.
šš» Tune into your own energy and intuition, what you feel. And TRUST it. You, and your system know more than you can rationalize or explain.
ā
šš» Let it out. Donāt hold yourself back because youāre afraid of taking up space, annoying people, or prying too much. Be you.
ā
This is an ongoing process. Something Iāve worked at, and continue to work at, because I want to show up as best I can for people in my life.
ā
As Iāve spoken on before, I have aversions to taking up space. Issues around consistently sharing my thoughts, questions, and feelings (especially in person) because I donāt want to annoy people or overstep perceived boundaries.
ā
I often sense things in people, and Iām uncomfortable asking the questions that pop into my mind.
ā
I often want to share something Iām feeling, but Iām uncomfortable jumping into communal space.
ā
A part of me goes back over many interactions Iāve had, both recent and very old, and worries that I didnāt listen well enough, I didnāt ask enough questions, didnāt tune in enough to the other person/people, and that I spoke too much (especially about myself).
ā
I simultaneously worry I shouldāve said something I didnāt. That one always feels crappy, doesnāt it?
ā
All that being said, I LOVE talking with people. I love getting deep, and just being present around others, connecting with them.
ā
Iām introverted, independent, AND social. But it has to be the right kind of social for me.
ā
Iām lightyears ahead of where I was even a couple years ago, and in some ways unrecognizable from 8-10 years back. I keep digging, and keep finding more opportunities for growth.
ā
I am extremely perceptive (that makes me uncomfortable to even write). Itās time I own it fully instead of dismissing what I feel and think.
ā
I believe most of us are more perceptive than we give ourselves credit for. Iām trying to choose more often than not to listen to myselfā¦so I can better use my voice.
ā
NOTES:
ā
Iāve uploaded this audio as a podcast episode in case youād rather listen than watch. Also on YouTube.
ā
Iāll be planning to do a Little Chair Chat at least 1x per week.
