Tom Neenan, Tom Crowley, and especially, especially Paul Litchfield are podcast cancer. And they might be contagious... Stay away!

I love Bond & all things British, so this podcast is right up my alley. John is extremely knowledgeable about 007, he’s absolutely hysterical with his dry (& occasionally tasteless) wit, and the guests are a lotta fun. A total blast!

I realize it’s cool and popular these days to disrespect Connery but can you at least get some guests on that appreciate him? Still the only actor to accurately portray all aspects of the character on screen. Bond isn’t supposed to be PC or a hero, he’s complex.

I love movies, but the constant maniacal giggling makes this unlistenable.

I would prefer that Dan Thomas be on every episode but that’s my only complaint.

I have absolutely loved the episodes with John and Dan Thomas and I’m currently working my way through the earlier episodes. Such a fun podcast and gave me a better appreciation for the Bond films…just not the Daniel Craig ones.

John Rain’s Smershpod (and Wheezing Groaning Pod) have provided me with hours of laughter and endless joy hearing him and his guests dive into the history & hilarity of the films and TV I grew up with (and many I didn’t). Hands down my favorite pods, bar none. (Jon Owen/Steam Battalions).

Thank you John for broadening my appreciation of all bond movies I love with your wonderful sense of humor and for making me aware of Nomads as now my life is infinitely improved! Please do Commando (the movie!) at some point!!!

...if this is your sort of thing. Like all the best podcasts, this one is loose and conversational making you feel like you’re a part of it even if you’re not *taking* part. If you’ve ever watched Bond and wondered aloud at the ridiculousness, this is for you. Interesting, irreverent, and often a bit rude (the cheeky schoolboy stuff just adds to the charm, imho) I recommend this one highly.

Smersh is great. Listen to Smersh. Then watch Bond all over again.
