Bite-sized, informative
I heard Cari talk in Iowa a few weeks ago, and I liked her so much, I had to check out the podcast. I’m enjoying it quite a bit. It’s informative and also validating for the kind of speech-language pathologist I want to be. She encourages kindness, compassion, careful use of words, and practicing at the top of your license. I love it! The little bits my partner has caught with Jim (Cari’s husband) have also made him laugh. He finds it super relatable to not be an SLP but know about some of the most obscure disorders and disabilities because of me.
The only feedback I have is that the little blurb at the end of the show each week where she says “joy is a choice you make every day” is a little bit ableist to those with mood disorders or certain conditions like depression and anxiety. However, the nice thing about Cari is that I know if she sees this, she’ll look into it, read up, and be thoughtful and intentional about whether or not she needs to change anything or say something about it.
Update: she did listen and adjust. She always says when we know better we do better (Maya Anjelou). I appreciate that she practices what she preaches. Thank you, Cari!
Highly recommend this show for SLPs, SLTs, SLP-As, and anyone in adjacent fields.

I love this podcast
As a school based SLP and mom of 3, I love this podcast! At times I find myself clapping in agreement to how Cari explains concepts, such as neurodiversity affirming language. Keep up the awesome work, Cari! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and perspectives!

Such a fun listen & I’m learning a ton too
I really enjoy listening to Cari & Jim and find myself laughing out loud and simultaneously learning so much in a digestible way. Love the length of the podcast and their personal perspectives as I’m also raising an autistic son with autism but we are much earlier in our journey.

Random ad inserts
I find the content helpfu, but the random, and very loud I advertisement inserts, are very annoying. Perhaps adding longer advertisements in the beginning or the end of the podcast would be a much more enjoyable listening experience.

Excellent Information
You don’t need to be a SLP to benefit from the information discussed in this podcast.
I have benefited from Cari’s training as a daycare provider and now as a classroom teacher. Definitely worth a listen.

I have learned a lot from Cari and have really enjoyed this podcast as well as the self-study courses I’ve taken of hers and her instagram page. The conversations in this podcast are enjoyable to hear and she gives sensible and very helpful information.

Enjoyable and Informative
I’m a Developmental Therapist for early intervention, on track to become a certified Parent Coach. I have been following and learning from Cari Ebert on social media for years. This is now my favorite podcast! She and her husband, Jim, are entertaining while providing helpful and important information in each podcast!

Excellent
So happy that you are doing a podcast! I saw you a long time ago when I started in early intervention and your courses have helped me and continue to help me to become a better therapist. Love that these are short and I can recommend them to parents to back up our sessions.

Helpful & Relatable
As an early intervention SLP and sibling of an autistic adult, I’m a big Cari fan! I’m thrilled that she and Jim have jumped into the podcast pool and have really been enjoying these episodes. A great combo of playful banter, applicable stories and very helpful / relatable nuggets of wisdom for SLPs, families, educators and advocates alike! I also really appreciate the shorter episode format.
