Thinker of things
Was very happy to know Dave was doing a Podcast. It's just the sort of short form blast of fun needed occasionally. I say this despite the fact that Dave blocked me on Twitter, which kinda made me sad due to the fact I had no idea why. Oh well, doesn't take away from the podcast which is great. Mark down one star, because 25-30 minutes each would be better.

Short and Excellent
All of the interviews are with interesting people who I don't typically hear from and the questions are well done. Well-balanced in the sense that David is a more hands-off interviewer. Plus, all of the interviews are too short to possibly approach boring, though I was certainly left wanting more.

WeigelCast
Really nice mix of elected officials, lobbyists/advocates, and issue experts. Dave Weigel asks really valuable questions

Well informed intelligent banter
This is another 5 star podcast from Slate, which appears determined to take over the universe of high quality podcasts. The Weigelcast is an interview series conducted by Slate's political reporter, Dave Weigel (one of the hardest working guys in the business) who speaks with political scientists, politicians and other political figures. The interviews are brief--generally no more than 12-15 minutes--but it is on topic and informative. None of the typical thematic nonsense that you can get all day on cable news. I particularly enjoyed this week's interview with Ralph Nader. I have long resented Ralph Nader's 2000 presidential bid as a narcissistic enterprise that contributed to George W. Bush's victory but in this interview he talks about how corporatism is ruining American politics generally and liberal politics specifically. I share his concerns about a Hillary Clinton candidacy/presidency for this very reason. Dave does a good job asking questions that invite detailed answers and he doesn't get in the way of the people he is interviewing. The world would be a better place if we had more Weigel and less cable news.

First rate program
Weigel is one of the best journalists in the country, and it shows in his podcast. Sharp, incisive questions in a friendly, non-confrontational atmosphere. Worth your time.

Fluff
Slow interviewing that doesn't add anything to the noise coming from CNN and Fox. Just a platform for spiel and canned dialogue.

Awesome stuff.
I’ve long been a follower and reader of Weigel’s - this podcast is a spot-on companion to his print work, and stands pretty well on its own. I hope Slate builds it out to a feature-length program.

If you listen to one Political Podcast, this is it!
Dave Weigel does the impossible, turning a podcast interview into a good time! Make sure you subscribe and check out episodes like Chris Coons and Jesse Ventura! Keep up the awesome podcast!

sad pony
Sorry to say that the WeigelCast is not so great. Maybe he is better in print. Despite some good guests, he seems to have a hard time getting the QUESTIONS OUT which is like the most important part of interviewing. In Slates stable of thoroughbreds, this pony don’t run….

As Larry David would say, "Eh."
Mediocre, way too short, poor audio quality, and Weigel pitches the slowest softballs in politics I've ever heard. No follow up questions. I can get that from the networks; this is a let-down coming from Slate. Listen to The Gist with Mike Pesca instead.

More Weigel = Fantastic!
Dave knows what's what. He often shares his political insight and knowledge with a side of good spirited humor. I am so excited that Slate has given him this new forum! Best wishes for continued success, Dave!

Nothing special
Poor sound quality, typical political questions coupled with a left-of-center bias. In other words, more of the same. Skip this.

Every minute is compelling
Great interviewing and editing: I was captivated by every question and every answer. WeigelCast is Weigeltastic.

simply great
I love the blog, I love the guest spots on the gabfest---I may be biased--but this interview is great. Covers all the ground--literally going from drones to healthcare and back, in about 15 minutes. Good on ya Davey!
