Not as into it now that it’s only published weekly. It was a much better show when it was on a daily basis wrapping up the news of the day for 10-15 min. Also very left biased but I’ve come to expect that from theskimm especially after the past few years... Edit: don’t like this new set up either of random mini series?? Just think it was better as a news podcast. I had enjoyed daily but got used to weekly eventually. Just feel like these series are pushy liberal agendas…

This show almost seems like an AI is writing a script and the host is just reading it. “AI take x issue, and overlay all the fashionable dogmatic leftist tropes in a script for a podcast” The harm comes from that fact that uneducated / naive people listen, and they think all the fashionable socialist talk actually reflects reality. They don’t realize no one actually believes those silly ideas, that they are just things people say to look trendy at dinner parties. You can skip this one, or listen to one of the other 100k podcasts pushing the same post modernism…they’re all the same

Why did you cancel this show?? This was my fave news source. I don’t relate to the skimm anymore and this show was the only thing I still subscribed to.

I was about to share this podcast with my daughters. It’s a great podcast of the facts and without spin. So sorry to hear it’s gone away. Hope it comes back.

This is the only podcast I religiously listened to every Thursday/Friday. It kept me informed and entertained at the same time. Plus, Alex Carr is fun to listen too. And if I missed to read the skimm news, I felt like it will get covered here. I’m really disappointed you stopped it. I really hope what comes next is something similar.

Skimm This has been one of my favorite podcasts and I am so sad it’s coming to an end. Thanks for the many years of keeping me informed with what’s going on in the world. I guess I’ll have to make time to read the newsletters now. Best of luck on your next endeavor.

This has been a great source for quick, concise and digestible news. I would listen to it while driving to or from work. In my busy life I don’t have much time to read and I don’t want to watch news. Sad to hear this is being discontinued.

I’ve really been enjoying the weekly skimm and pop culture podcasts but just as I was getting into the rhythm and finally found a news outlet I enjoy (although their view has sometimes been biased) both pop culture and the skimm both are taken down at some point. I honestly feel these are the two best channels from their brand and I’m just not really understanding why they keep removing them without any real explanation… it’s honestly making me feel like I’m being broken up with and left out to dry. Honestly, don’t know if I can trust their reliability. Just feeling a little abandoned… x2

I love the idea of this podcast. For the most part, they cover crucial material. However, I have gotten so sick of their STRONG and OBVIOUS liberal agenda. I am all for seeing both sides and being open. But good hell… everything is told with a strongly biased view.

I used to love this podcast, but not anymore. No longer a way to quickly learn about what is going on in the world while on the go. Now, it is a series of opinions about what could happen, might happen, or maybe due to a news event. As an adult, I want the news not a lesson. Lost a listener so they could preach their own opinions and paranoia.

Best news show out there. Almost like 60 Minutes for millennial women - covers the news, interesting interviews, and some more fun/lighthearted material. Now an essential part of my week.

I love how all The Skimm sums up top news stories in a very easily understandable way. Miss the daily pod!

I like the recent move to add expert voices as interviewees who can explain events from a factual lens eg their interview with David Rennie on China’s role in the Russia-Ukraine war. That was a very useful/helpful digest. Unfortunately, most digests generally reflect one point of view. It would be refreshing to hear a factual explanation of all sides of an issue without any implicit or explicit opinionated commentaries on those sides.

Your article “ what has Republican saying about time “is ridiculous. Why is this a republican/democrat thing? People deserve to know the truth about Hunter Biden‘s laptop. Why does it matter what side of the aisle you’re on?

This show is the most manageable, down to earth news podcast on earth. It’s like a friend telling you the news, with diverse experts and great culture references. Highly recommend!

The skimm will explain everything happen in the news and do it in a great way. If their not sure that ask someone who know, not some one who makes up stuff.

Cannot say enough good things about this show. The empathy with which they approach the news is unparalleled. The host is like your friend, the news finally feels understandable, and I always leave smarter. Most importantly this show is caring - when the news is hard they don’t shy away but provide you with perspective and understanding. 10/10 recommend.

If you’re looking for a quick skim on the week’s news, this is great for you. If you’re looking for a quick, *objective* skim on the week’s news, look elsewhere. TheSkimm very obviously leans left - they interview, report, and opine in a left-leaning direction, and all the news is filtered through that lens. It’s as though they barely consider the merits of a conservative opinion on any issue they cover. Save your subscribe for something more balanced, like Tangle.

I’ve been listening to Skimm This for years. I liked how concise and balanced it was. As time goes on though, it’s locking step more and more with the mainstream media I’ve been trying to get beyond. It’s finally too much. It sounds too much like CNN and the like now. Luckily, I’ve found someone else who I can trust. It’s such a shame that we can’t have unbiased news from more sources. Unsubscribing.

Im currently miserable at my job and had a great background not too long ago (business and current masters in Econ) but because of one gap year I’ve been forced to stay in admin way longer than I should. I can do more but all jobs simply look at experience and new age tech know-how - if I could afford to just take the month(s) to learn a semi easy coding language I would! But bc I don’t, I’m currently doing a tedious grammar editing job with no room for growth or appreciation.

I have really enjoyed this podcast in the past. I found it very informative. However, after hearing an ad for Goop that was read by the host, I no longer trust them as a source of truthful information. I’m very dismayed and disappointed. For those who don’t know, Goop has been recognized by medical professionals as harmful.

Skim This is a perfect recap of the weeks news in 30 minutes. It’s great heading into my weekend and I enjoy that the show and the host are like talking to a friend , rather than just a news person

I’ve been listening to Skimm This for about 4 years and I love it and it just keeps getting better! The cut the crap out of the news/headlines so you find out what you need to know, right to the point. They also combine a bit of wit and humor and human interest stories and pop culture news as well! So worth the approx 30 mins of listening time!

News/ current events you need to know and why without added negativity or false/ conspiracy theory slants. The information provided is backed up by truth, facts and science with thoughtful insights on how these things effect us all- either individually or as a society. Much appreciated! I’ve been listening for over a year and this is the best weekly roundup of the news. My favorite ritual is to go for a Thursday night walk and listen to the show. It’s like listening to a friend tell you the news - and I don’t think it’s as biased as other programs

Life is busy, and the Skimm podcast helps me stay in the know about the week’s important news. Alex has a great voice and delivery, and she stays pretty non-biased when interviewing expert guests. I look forward to this in my feed every Thursday. I can listen to it round trip while taking my kids to school. I really do feel like it makes me smarter. :)

I always recommend this show looking for people who want to keep up with the news but don’t want to be overwhelmed. Good wrap of the weeks news and fun writing and interesting interviews. I’ve listed since the start and the show has really evolved, as has the newsletter.

I’ve been a Skimm subscriber for a few years now and I love their content. But as life has gotten busier I’m not always able to make time for reading the daily newsletter. This is why I love this podcast. Having a weekly overview of the important news updates that I can listen to while on the go is perfect for me!
