Sink or Swim: Deep end
Sink or Swim: Deep end
Tasia Lindsey
“Sinking into your own reverie and swimming through longevity. Sinking further into the mind like it’s a deep end with no sanctuary. Learning how to swim as if God is there to meet you in all your scrutiny.” Are you sinking or are you swimming?
Keep Swimming..
“ I can’t sink forever. I swam until I could stand the waves. Regaining strength and momentum, and my heart as well. Now pushing my mind into forward direction or thinking. I look back on this journey remembering how I was just sitting pool side pretty. Not knowing whether or not I needed to be jumped in or pushed in. Falling short of my lessons. Overflowing and needing a moment to breathe, in-hale exhale. The waters and waves became too heavy too strong too deep too fast. I couldn’t keep up with the pressure of having it all together. I think I allowed myself to fall in too deep not knowing if I could come back up. One would say why allow yourself to sink if you don’t know where it’ll take you. But all I know was I couldn’t sink forever.”

Keeping a float
“Staying above water in today’s time is impossible. Inflation is rising like the waters at our necks and feet paddling trying to keep a float. Jobs requiring more and offering less. Basic needs becoming harder to sustain. How are we all keeping a float? Your answer is as good as mine. I know we’re not alone I know we can connect through compassion & empathy on how we feel & what we know we deserve. I’d rather go through life with others we empathize with one another then keeping a float alone.”

Overflowing & A moment to exhale
“For a moment let’s come above water. Exhale and inhale. The two words a doctor or a therapist would tell you. A person in position to consider your life and heart health. Being able to control your breathing & slow down your heart. Loosen your chest cavity and lessen your stress at the very moment. A sunken Chest. Overflowing at the moment. I soon will drop into the deep end after my moment of air.”

Jumped in or Pushed in
“ jumping in is quit fun as one would say. Your the risk taker & go getter. You wake up making those tough calls to choose societal norms and responsibilities. You choose life needs first before your own. Then we have our push overs. You wake up helpless everyday not caring what the world thinks. You choose you no matter the disadvantages you create in your life by saying no to everyone and everything because it serves you no good internally.” Well I guess im a push over. so push me in to sink I need it more then a jump unless it takes me to the deep end.”

Sitting Pretty Poolside
Sitting from the sidelines wanting to get in take risk not knowing how to swim & having no choice but survive. Sitting pretty pondering on the what if’s & doubts. Sitting in a stand still enjoying what you choose to ignore. Sitting contemplating on your own thoughts. Wasting time. Wasting energy soaking in the sun sitting poolside pretty. Waiting for the right moment to JUMP IN next or get PUSHED IN. Are you sitting pretty poolside? Or are you a risk taker in life?
