Damien is a great host - he asks interesting questions to uncover information many of us are looking for. Plus, he keeps it real, and on the ground. Keep up the great work!

I started listening to the podcast approximately six months as off the writing of this review and started from episode one, so it has been catch-up mode all along. When I first scanned the episode I saw the the episodes where maybe 30-40 minutes which I believe is that appropriate amount of time for a podcast given my schedule and and other podcast subscriptions. Now I am seeing episodes as long as two hours! I feel like there has been a bait-and-switch here. What happened to the average 30-40 minute episodes??? Because of this I may unsubscribe. Also, I feel that sometimes Damien will add long-winded questions to the interviewee, and this in itself is not the problem but rather that Damien speaks way too fast and it sounds like a lot of mumbling, causing me to have to rewind to get a clear understanding of what was asked in the first place, thus extending the time of an already too-long episode (1-2 hours plus).

There is tremendous dedication and work that goes into producing tax education material with substance. Damien Martin delivers upon this with his experience and connections with top tax minds in the industry. He keeps topics interesting and engaging - highly recommend!

Really gain a lot of knowledge from the focused tax law podcasts. The ones focused on career and general information are not so great and I have learned to skip. I am always looking for other CPAs perspectives on tax laws and application of those laws.

I really like the content you have. However it’s REALLY hard to understand you. Please slow down when you speak. Sometimes I don’t listen to the podcast because it’s difficult to understand what you’re saying.

Damien does a great job presenting complex material in an timely and informative yet enjoyable way, with nice production values and articulate and well-spoken guests. (In other words, you aren’t listening to a lot of ums and ers). The pacing is right - not too fast and not too slow, so any moderately experienced practitioner can keep up. I recommend to anyone who wants to supplement their technical reading on new tax law!

Not only does this podcast cover great topics, but it’s well produced. One of my peeves with keeping up with new tax/accounting information is its delivery, which can often sound like nails on chalkboard because they didn’t take the time to use decent audio equipment and software.

As a professional in the field, it can be hard to quickly and effectively understand the changes in tax law around us. I pop this podcast in while I’m at work to make sure I’m not missing anything important, and I always learn something new, especially about the upcoming tax code changes. Can’t recommend this podcast to other tax accountants highly enough!

It may seem like an oxymoron to have an entertaining tax podcast, but Damien does it. Well worth your time to keep up with the tax world.
