Welcome to the Simply Maternal Podcast with Giana! Giana began her maternal health journey after completing her MPH. She focused maternal health research, integrative nutrition, and moved into teaching childbirth education classes at hospitals and privately. In the last couple of years, she began attending births as a doula and most recently began studying to become a Midwife! This podcast aims to offer a simple approach to birth education and maternal health. You will hear passionate conversations about helping women reclaim their stories and restore their autonomy to navigate birth, modern motherhood, and beyond.

Their mission is SUPPORTING HEALTHY, SAFE, AND SATISFYING PREGNANCIES, BIRTHS, AND POSTPARTUM EXPERIENCES THROUGH ADVOCACY AND POLICY THAT PRIORITIZES EQUITY IN ACCESS TO BIRTH OPTIONS, LACTATION EDUCATION AND SUPPORT, MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND CULTURALLY COMPETENT CARE FOR MILITARY FAMILIES ACROSS THE GLOBE.   Gaby is from Fort Worth, Texas and received her B.S from the United States Naval Academy. She is currently a M.A candidate at the University of San Francisco, where she is also a McGrath Fellow.
