I love this podcast. I could listen to Mallouk talk about finance all day. Charlie does a great job too! My only complaint is the episodes aren’t more frequent!

Switched to “Signal or Noise” as a substitute in my rotation when Hagensen’s “Rethink Your Money” (also from Creative Planning) went off the air recently. I find it mostly a repetition of a couple of the same themes. The final straw for me was a mischaracterization of the results of Trump’s recent tariff tiffs. I’ll put up with some sane-washing Trump noise if there’s an underlying signal in the content, but haven’t found that to be the case for this podcast.

In episode 4, they talk about “power of no” and anti 10,000 hr rule. Looking at my experience in investing, it’s seem counter intuitive — but it’s true. You can burn the midnight oil and get a dental degree, like I did - but it doesn’t equate to doing well in the market. Another example is the VICs - I used to treat its high peak as a selling signal, when research suggests otherwise.
