Having a medical procedure done is never a funny proposition, but the folks that are responsible for your well-being often inject humor and misguided remarks as a coping mechanism during the procedure. This has been referred to as a “benign violation” which is accepted behavior amongst the better clinical teams.
Sick Humor takes the opportunity to relate some of those stories. The storytellers are medical technicians, surgeons and nurses. The names of the clinical people telling the stories use pseudonyms. There aren’t any medical facility names discussed or any individual’s private health information divulged.
