On this episode of Show Up on Purpose, I spoke with Dr. Marysa Warnhoff. Marysa is a pelvic physical therapist and the founder of Uprise Pelvic Health in Sioux Falls. She helps women find strength and confidence through specialized physical therapy for pelvic health concerns. Marysa aims to make uncomfortable topics approachable, life-altering symptoms manageable, and equip you with empowering and essential education.
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy for over a decade, I have passionately pursued pelvic health as my specialty to help change the state of women’s healthcare. Pelvic health diagnoses like incontinence, prolapse, and painful sex have been normalized for too long. She is ecstatic when she gets to share in her patients' successes and show them that they have the power to heal.
She also brings expertise in perinatal care as a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. Marysa is a mom of two toddlers, a lover of deep conversations, binge-worthy TV shows, and excellent coffee!
Here's what we talked about:
- Pelvic floor health
- Common misconceptions and unhealthy habits
- What’s normal and what’s not
- How important setting aside time for yourself is to your overall health
- How to know when to see a pelvic physical therapist
- And so much more...
