Heather Brittain is a once-registered nurse turned full-time yoga teacher and mindfulness entrepreneur. Beyond fancy titles, Heather is a human being that's passionate about human BEING. Using a holistic mind/body approach to health and wellbeing, Heather's teaching in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation takes a keen focus on helping individuals feel grounded, present, purposeful, creative, and confident in mind, body, and spirit. When she is not teaching she is found writing poetry + blogs, getting her hands messy in watercolors, reading endless books, playing in the mountains, or snuggling up with her two cats and husband in the busy city of Boston, MA.
Heather and I connected through our holistic wellness coaching certification at The International Association of Wellness Professionals and since then have shared so many wonderful, hard, and powerful conversations via Instagram and together on zoom, and I’m so grateful to let YOU in on the wonderful/hard/powerful conversation during this episode–and hopefully, inspire you in some way through our chat to step out of your comfort zones and listen to what your body/mind/spirit is telling you with each step you take.
Here’s what we talked about in this episode:
-How we left our “cozy” college degree careers to pursue our passions.
-How outwardly stepping out of your comfort zone looks brave, but it can feel anything but internally.
-How to build trust in yourself.
-Why listening to your body, mind, and spirit can lead you to the answers you’re looking for.
-What practices you can use to build self-trust, self-awareness, and resilience when stepping out of your comfort zone.
-How taking small steps can get you unstuck.
