Seeking Asylum from a Broken Immigration System
Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, based in Austin, TX, is an immigration attorney focusing on asylum seekers. We hit it off immediately with so many things in common: a love for helping people overcome impossible odds, a love for the Spanish language, and a love for meeting amazing people on social media. Yes, I found her on TikTok, and you can, too, @abogadakatelgl. Better yet, access all her links at http://linktr.ee/lincolngoldfinchlaw. Building a Grassroots Coalition for Humanity
Fighting misinformation online about COVID-19 and politics in general is something many people are doing, but Jess is considered the OG when it comes to exposing secret chat rooms on the Telegram app. It just takes some sleuthing and patience to position yourself as a fly on the wall. With her growth on TikTok as @crazymotherrunner and her new @coalition4humanity account, Jess is kicking ass and taking names to build a grassroots effort for leftist ideals, but more importantly, for truth-telling.  Visit ShoutYourCause.com for show notes and a chance to contribute your own content to our digital magazine and podcast run by Sally Hendrick, Editor in Chief.

Money is Stupid: A Look at Universal Basic Needs
Listen to this compelling discussion around universal basic needs, public banking systems, insulin programs, and more. I had never heard of universal basic income before, not sure I could make a judgment about it from only a handful of videos, so I reached out to M on TikTok @moneyisstupid to find out more. A Deeper Meaning Behind Confederate Statues
You may know her for those beautiful jazz vocals, but Dara Starr Tucker has stepped forward to educate and obliterate the false narrative around Confederate statues and the history of Jim Crow oppression in the United States. Find Dara on TikTok @darastarrtucker for a mixture of fun and informative content, then take a listen to her latest album, Dreams of Waking: Music For a Better World. Her original Do We Sleep? is mixed with covers of songs with deeper meaning below the surface, like Wade in the Water, an old gospel tune that was a secret code that taught escaped slaves that dogs would lose their scent of them if they used the rivers and streams for safe passage. TikTok Nurse Fights Anti-Vax Misinformation
This guy shot across my TikTok feed with a punchy message for anti-vaxxers. I knew immediately that he knew what he was talking about when it comes to COVID-19. With the delta variant running rampant across the USA, he's fighting misinformation online by calling out the anti-science, anti-vax community from his stance as a nurse who has seen more sickness and death than most people could ever imagine. Find Jarred on TikTok and Instagram @musclesandnursing. Got something to add to the conversation? Visit ShoutYourCause.com.

Deconversion Therapy: Finding Support Away from Evangelism
Little did I know that Karen is practically my neighbor living in a small town in Tennessee, the home of her podcast, Deconversion Therapy, where she gabs back and forth with her childhood friend from her youth in southern Florida about their days in a Southern Baptist Church. We met on TikTok when she was promoting her first episode about Dave Ramsey with his latest scandals regarding firing his second in command, Chris Hogan, for having an extramarital affair. I have my own history with Ramsey Solutions, as I followed his financial advice for a while then later got involved in the Business Boutique conferences with Christy Wright, so Karen’s video caught my attention. She ended up having to make two episodes about him to further discuss the exodus of many employees, including women he fired that were pregnant and unmarried. In this episode, we discuss Karen’s purpose of supporting others having doubts about their religious faith and about sharing helpful resources for disenfranchised evangelicals. It's not critical race theory. It's history.
Why are people afraid of teaching the truth behind US history? At Shout Your Cause, we promise to have difficult discussions, and that includes racism and the white-washing of American history. This episode is no exception. Recently, I met Megan Geha on TikTok, a social media platform used to create 15-second to 3-minute episodes of all kinds of content. Megan is a teacher in Iowa, an advocate of raising awareness around anti-racism. She has been in the news of late, including on Tucker Carlson's blog, though not painted in a good light from the right-wing perspective. I interviewed her to get to the bottom of the ruckus in the media and to find out more about her anti-racist platform.
