Well, I for one, I enjoy them very much! Sam and Chris are a balanced, manic, duo. They give deep insight, along with silly asides, and WILD tangents. But it all of works. Chris can be a little biting towards Sam sometimes, but he’s usually right…but when he’s wrong, and she knows it, it’s nice to see the tables turn. Again, their back and forth is that of very good friends where they understand each other…coupled with great analysis on floozy stuff. Fun!

Early SATC stuff great. Then plummeted into constant negativity. Impossible to love anymore.

Contrarian just to be so, inconsistent. Will charge ten bucks or more for patreon and not release episodes. I don’t care if you’re busy… don’t have a podcast and don’t make money off people when you’re lazy. Sam is also always on her high horse too and pretends to be woke and is a closet listener of Morgan Wallen LOL! Which like you can like him but don’t pretend you’re the woke police and you’re better than everyone and shame other people for liking problematic art etc. made me laugh. Save your time and money. Just finished girls on my own. Good luck in New York Sam truly but you won’t be getting any more of my money. lol

Love this podcast. I have one thing to add and have to use this review to do it because I don’t have instagram but the reason why the leaders of Oz are running a conspiracy against the animals is because there was a famine prior to when the story starts and the animals were blamed for the famine and used as scapegoats. Think immigrants being blamed for the crime/unemployment. And Elphaba experiences discrimination because green skin is different in that world.

PLEASE do a pop culture or whatever housewives. I know there are already a million out there But o can’t get enough. But don’t watch girls.

…for one simple reason: 20th Century Women is one of my favorite movies too. So brilliant, so underrated. Also, the podcast is funny and chaotic and truly off the rails.

5 stars because I always have the best time catching up on pop culture, SATC and Girls with these two. I love the takes on the show, I LOVED the rage at the shows cancellation, etc. The way these two get a bit too unhinged when discussing Taylor Swift turns me offfff. Am I a Swiftie? NO! But my god 30 minutes hating on her during an episode that is focused on the grand finale of Carrie Bradshaw as a whole–move on!!! Luckily I found myself able to skip through this “section” this time around but haven’t always been as lucky. Not everyone loves the girl but then my god just don’t talk about her! It’s not what were here for!!! Love ya 😉

In the rare moments they talk about And Just Like That, it’s quite enjoyable. But you have to sit through so much drivel. Why is this marketed as a AJLT podcast when they spend most of the episodes talking about everything else? If I wanted to listen to a political podcast, I would have chosen one. This is very bait and switch.

Sam & Chris make me laugh and laugh. They are brilliantly unhinged! My favorite is when Chris says something TERRIBLE…and you can hear Sam GASPS…they both the best of friends yet strangers. Needless to say / I love em bad!🤣

I discovered this pod when they were recapping Girls. I absolutely love their takes- listening to Chris and Sam make my entire day!

I can’t follow/listen to this show anymore. I’m only in the beginning of the latest episode and Chris doesn’t let Sam get a word out before interrupting her. Don’t ask a question and then cut her off as soon as she starts answering. It’s honestly awful to listen to. So sorry to leave a negative review but you may not be aware of what’s happening and that it is not an enjoyable listening experience.

I just wish episodes were released a day after a new AJLT episode premiered!

I love this podcast. They have funny critical reviews of SATC, Girls and AJLT. Chris offers poignant commentary on these shows, historical facts and racial commentary. I do love Sam’s hot takes and pop culture additions. I get why some people wouldn’t love their opinions but if you don’t like it don’t listen! But I find this podcast provides very honest reviews in today’s lens and does not sugar coat or view these shows with rose colored glasses.

Glad to come back to your podcast. I listen to 7 others to compare notes andinterpretations. Is there a delay between your responses because on my end when one podcaster speaks there’s an overlap of the other podcaster. Otherwise love your show.

As a proud Gen Xer who was the exact target audience the original run of SATC was created for, I am a dedicated, die hard fan of the original series (and first movie). Searches for SATC recap podcasts originally overlooked this one for some reason, but I recently discovered it. Had I known I was going to be increasingly lectured about how awful, racist and uneducated Gen X was compared to how enlightened they are, I would’ve passed it by. For every smart, insightful comment made about the show there’s about twenty mean spirited, elitist jabs that are sickening. Moments of truth that I fully support (like Sam being 100% correct in her observation that Carrie wanted Big to push her in that elevator and that we SHOULD be able to talk about the fact that some women get turned on by CNC scenarios) there will be moments of extreme woke insanity (like Chris saying choice has no role in sexual and gender identity at the same time he complains how the show was too stupid to understand fluidity 🙄) The multiple “do they hate the show?” reviews on here are legit, so heed them. And like all Zennials, get ready to have them make EVERYTHING political every chance they get (if I wanted hypocritical Zennial opinions on identity politics I’d listen to “Pod Save the World” or something similar.) I STRONGLY suggest passing on the “Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy” and “No Ifs, Ands, or Butts” episodes unless you want to listen to 2+ hours of how stupid we apparently all were in the 2000s. The irony here is how evolved these two think they are and yet Chris, the man on this podcast, routinely verbally abuses Sam, the female on the show, dismissing and even cutting her mic when she dares to give any opinion that differs from his, even bullying her until she gives in and agrees with him. It proves to me that a quality SATC recap podcast NEEDS to be done by members of Gen X who fully appreciate what this show meant to women my age and how cutting edge it was for its time. Here’s you’ll only find the constant resorting to knee jerk liberalism and cancel culture politicizing that passes for intellectual debate and discussion in the under 35 set. Check out “Every Outfit” if you’re looking for an SATC podcast that gets it.

Talk about SATC, stop complaining about politics that you aren’t educated enough on to speak about it intelligently. Chris you’re dragging on and on and I had to turn off the show. There’s too many other SATC/AJLT to listen to.

Omg I literally LOL throughout every episode. I love the hosts’ chemistry and banter. Their recaps are great but really I just love to listen to them gab. When they’re done with “Girls,” I honestly wouldn’t mind them revisiting SATC. Idk if that’s crazy since they already did it but it could be fun. Whatever they recap, I’ll listen to! I just love the pod. They’ve mentioned some listeners complaining about their negativity, but I think it’s hilarious and I agree with their takes most of the time.

Sam & Chris have the best banter I’ve heard in a long time. They’re always on the pulse with not only bravo but also general news/ headlines. If you’ve ever seen a woman in a black suv driving in the Bay Area laughing out loud while driving…. t was probably me, listening to this podcast. I found this gem of a podcast 2 years ago and I’m so glad it’s in my life. I LOVE the relationship and banter between Chris and Sam, and I love their thoughts on not just my favorite shows but all things pop culture! I love and adore this podcast, it’s the highlight of my week!

Are they funny? Sure, sometimes. They have great banter, but it’s two people who think their opinion is the scripture. Chris blocks anyone who dares to reach out with their opinion and Sam is really stubborn in her opinions. That’s not my issue though, I have been a long time supporter and even tried to recommend people to the show, and I was a member of their patreon. They boast about community and loving everyone but they actually are not that nice. They host a monthly zoom and unless you are a pretty girl with some tea for them, they aren’t interested in hearing from you. Whenever I spoke I was met with eye rolls and ok, keep it quick. I would then be cut off and then quickly brushed aside and asked to mute myself. Others were allowed to jump on whenever, told how lovely and pretty they are and were encouraged to keep going. When I brought up my concerns and my hurt to one of them, I was told it I was allowed to move on and leave.So much for community. I ended my membership and unfollowed them both because as much as I enjoyed their nonsense conversations playing in the background, I could no longer support a team that so obviously did not care about their followers.

Chris and Sam are both so insightful, each in their own way. I love hearing their takes on the shows they cover. Chris has a great dry sense of humor which is balanced out perfectly with Sam’s genuine sweetness. I agree with what other reviewers have said, Chris and Sam’s podcast is better than the shows they cover! I’d listen to them recap almost anything.

I appreciate this podcast because they talk about the 5 shows I actually watch and have watched. Sex and the City? Girls? Summer house?! You?! It’s like it was created for me.

This is easily my favorite podcast. Sam and Chris are hilarious but I no longer expect consistency from them lol. I just get excited when the episodes are up. Would never contribute to the patreon for this reason but love to listen.

Found Chris and Sam again and couldn’t be happier. Chris’ commentary is as spot on, thought-provoking and hilarious as ever. Sam is the perfect pairing and super sweet and charismatic. So glad to see they are now covering my second fav show of all time behind SATC: GIRLS! These are underrated pop culture icons. These two are hilarious and insightful - such a fun listen and great escape from the horror of world events and from the news and politics podcast I normally listen to.

A perfect podcast especially when it’s over 2 hrs (the podcast content is better than the Girls’ show content)

I’m only giving 4 stars for my girl Sam. This podcast is a reminder than misogyny comes in many forms. Chris is constantly contradicting, interrupting and belittling Sam. I love girls and was sooo excited for this but it’s hard to listen to when Chris will not give Sam any space. I love a good banter between hosts and appreciate good self-deprecating humor but it feels so one sided. Get a pod going with Gracie girl until Chris can do some internal work.

These guys are so cute and hilarious. Chris you have totally turned me around on Steve. I found this pod bc I decided to rewatch the original series after AJLT started. I have had some much fun rewatching and then listening to Chris and Sam’s insights. Shortcomings helped me get through the yuckiest part of a Texas summer. Thank you.

Listen, do I have complaints? Sure. But that’s not gonna stop me from giving it 5 stars. It’s fun and addicting.

These two, what can you say? They’re the odd couple but for pop culture. This show is part pop culture recap and part SATC/Girls recap. They have great banter and crack me up. You call Ariana Madix a loser but you’re the only recapping a show that ended in 2017. Chris has a lot of opinions but not good ones because he doesn’t explain them. It’s just a lot of talking down about women and propping up ugly men. How dreadful.
