This podcast has led me to understand that more rifle doesn’t make me a better hunter, that good gear doesn’t have to be expensive but don’t cheap out on the gear that matters, and that brightly colored crocs won’t make my wife want to sleep with me more. I’ve learned a lot from your personal experiences and from the guests you have on the podcast. My wife would like me to not thank you for building another rifle built around the 6UM (Gods cartridge) and for our date nights now consisting of me coercing her into trying new gastro gnome meals and listing to me explain my hunting gear to her with autistic flare. Keep up the hard work and thank yall for all the laughs!

Outstanding podcast. Entertaining and very informative podcast that challenges some of the conventional wisdoms in the shooting and hunting world. Perfect blend of the detailed elements of maximizing equipment and how those tools are used in hunting. A must listen for any serious hunter/shooter! 10/10.

They’re not just a couple blowhards beating their own chests, Ryan and Jake actually know what they’re talking about and present it in an entertaining and easily digestible way. Each episode has solid nuggets about hunting, shooting, and gear that I find very helpful. Keep it up fellas!

When I found your podcast I pretty much listened to it non stop until I listened to all of them. I particularly enjoyed the talk on construction of bullets among others.

Well I’d like to cus both of you but I have to thank you. After living in eastern Washington for two years, I finally made it into the store front talk about a refreshing experience. The woman behind the counter was knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. She knew her products equipment, and understood how serious shooters and hunters. Will use their gear in the field fast forward to the announcement of the 6UM. I swore to my buddy that I wouldn’t build one today May 22. I ordered a reamer to build not only one but build three it will be my nephews, first big game rifle, my best friends do all ranch rifle as he spends every day of retirement up on a large ranch in northern Colorado shooting coyotes deer, antelope and elk. I’m always searching for something that is extremely flat shooting hard-hitting. And anything that makes me look like I’m a better wind caller than I am. I have a multitude of Rifles to shoot steel with is a large part of my time is spent shooting steel. Never really being a huge bat action fan after listening to the latest podcast. I am highly intrigued in the new medium action. Unknown munitions. Is the definition of customer service as they are knowledgeable and friendly and willing to help. I’ll drive 45 minutes to visit their storefront versus ordering online from any other retailer. If you were serious shooter or Hunter. I would look no further than unknown munitions as I would be shocked if they didn’t have anything that you could possibly need when it comes to firearms or making that critical shot count. Thanks for all you guys do enjoy the podcast. Ryan, I bet suggest you get out the trash bag and start wearing a sweatsuit every day. You’re gonna need it. Thanks guys

I’ve learned so much about reloading and building a rifle from this podcast. Thanks to Ryan Avery I’ve built a custom rifle in his favorite caliber: 6.5 creedmoor. I never understood the hype until he described how it’ll take down moose at 1500yds. The recoil might be rough but installing a radial brake really tamed it. Thanks for the advice, Ryan!

I’ve really been enjoying this podcast. I’m a technical, gear junky kind of guy and I love the technical/detail side of this podcast.

Good info for everyone regardless of experience. If you are knowledgeable you will hear some things that you already know. If you know nothing, they do a good job at walking you through concepts step by step. There’s something for everyone to learn here.

Ryan and Jake provide a lot of nitty gritty details that most gunsmiths seem annoyed about when I ask them! Along with a little crudeness and irreverence, makes for some good laughs and overall good listen!

Ryan and Jake do an excellent job of breaking down the process in a way that is understandable by most while also injecting some good humor. My handloading game has single-handedly been dramatically upped from the “ammo deconstructed” series on Ryan podcast. And I see all signs pointing that increasing it even more in this podcast!
