Unscripted

Our minds have a tendency to diminish the importance of experiences when the next event, opportunity, worry or memory comes along. We forget the very things that have shaped us and kept us through years of change, trials, temptations and hardships. The Lord reminds us in Deuteronomy 4:9, do not forget. If there is one thing we must do is remember. Remember what the Lord has done and has bought you through. Don't let the next obstacle wipe away the handprints the Lord has left on your life. Do not let the stormy seas erase the second pair of footsteps that walked with you on the sand. Remember what the Lord has done with diligence and hold on to the faith that ill pave the future ahead.

To settle the questions I have been getting left and right about my stance on Christmas and why I don't celebrate it, I have made my final statement! My desire is we all live absent of ignorance - lack of knowledge - and ensure we are doing things according to the Word of God. “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land,  take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every [i]abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” ~ Deuteronomy 12:29-32

Reaching a point of realization that control is no longer in your hands can slowly unravel the reality you've created for yourself. It's easy to think you've got it all together but the true test of trust in Christ is to relinquish control and watch God work His best without us connsistently taking control of the wheel. This late night special dives into a reality I had to face long ago, that control is not mine but the Lords. To submit is to go with the flow of God's divine will rather than our own.

Giving up the things you love in the name of sacrifice is not always easy. Actually... It's one of the hardest things to do. But the difficulty level doesn't deter God from placing that test of faith in our path. Abraham was tested and you will be too. We have no ownership over the things we have but instead they are gifts. If we idolize it, we are only making our journey that much more difficult. Trust God in this season to help you learn the value of sacrifice and as you listen, ask God how you can be better in your obedience to His instructions.

It takes a true personal experience with God to do a complete 180 in your life. Being new isn’t a task we can take on by ourselves, but it warrants strength from the One who is the Renewer and Refiner. In my personal life, God has never ceased to mold me into who He has destined me to be and no matter how far I strayed His love was willing to go further. I want to encourage you to allow God to change you from the inside out and create in you a clean heart, a purified self and a new man!

While being comfortable seems to be the ideal state, as a child of God we learn that too much comfort leaves us vulnerable to complacency. It is important that we discern what is taking place around us and never forget we are fighting a spiritual battle... Don't let your comfort be the reason for your demise. Remember that God has placed something inside of you for this battle - for the kingdom. Don't lose yourself trying to be like everyone else and fit in but instead, get out of your comfort zone and shake the spiritual realm with your Christ given authority.

An experience is just an ingredient in the greater production of the good - the cake... The expected end. All things work together in God's perfect will and if we just allow God to oversee without doubt, we are in for a blessing. It's not always easy to understand why things are the way they are but it is worth it in the end. Don't rush it. Give God time to cook and help you become... it will all come together in due season.

While it’s not always easy, it’s always worth it. As Christ has forgiven us, we must be quick to forgive others. Break the chains and release yourself from the shackles of pain. There is freedom in forgiveness and freedom in Christ

Stop going back! Don't let the state of the thing cause you to turn back to where you came from. God will handle it, you don't have to. It's time we stop being as fools who keep walking in circles due to our lack of ability to keep it moving. God delivers us out of situations to have our life and it's a decision we must make to not look back. Looking back could cause you to lose your life.
