In today’s episode of She Runs Trails Podcast, I interview Maia aka @maiabirdygoat.πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

In this episode, we talk about her ultra running journey, how she trains for these challenging races, what has helped her thrive in her races, balancing work being a trauma nurse working 12 hour shifts. πŸ₯

Maia is a badass ultrarunner and Trauma Nurse. She’s 40 years old and lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Maia started running ultras 8 years ago. Since she’s ran over 75 races ranging from 25K - 162 milers and podium many of them. πŸ†

She won last year’s #kodiak100k and was the first runner overall to finish The Barkley Fall Classic marathon distance in 2018. A month before Kodiak she completed Ouray 50 miler (6th place), which is probably one of the hardest 50 milers out there. πŸ’€
