On this episode, I talk with Angela Rivera. Angela is a natural food chef, certified meditation coach, children’s yoga instructor, and mother of four. She is a survivor of domestic violence and in 2018, discovered that her 19 year-old daughter was in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship.
After her daughter survived a life threatening attack, Angela took her advocacy for her daughter to Albany, New York .

On this episode, I talk with LaSonya Alexander. LaSonya is a divorced mother of 7 children she raises independently. After a period of sudden job loss and homelessness following a family crisis, LaSonya fought to return her family to a place of stability and joy. She went on to become winner of the 2017-2018 Ms. Illinois American Elegance pageant.
LaSonya has written her first book, a memoir, and looks forward to its publication.
