She Lives Purposefully
That Sounds Fun Network
As Christian women, sometimes we can feel lonely in our walk with Christ. Do you feel that way? Spoiler alert: it’s not true and this is the podcast to prove it. I’m Megan Edmonds, your new Christian friend who cheers you on in your walk with Christ because I believe God has given you this one life to know Him, love Him, and live for Him purposefully. Each week, we will chat about all different areas of life from a Jesus loving perspective - relationships, faith doubts, emotions, parenthood, health and hormones, anxiety, and more! I share my own experiences and practical ways to grow in our relationship with God. Join me every Thursday as we take this walk with Christ together!
Is it kinda chic… to be Christian? And an encouragement to sow seeds
Today, I sit down to talk about if our faith is firm enough to weather trends and culture, and some ways to ensure that it is.  Christianity is honestly trending right now. It’s kinda popular. BUT Christians are called, in the Bible, to be prepared for push back and persecution.  How can we be sure our faith isn’t just trendy but is sure? Are we as Christian women spending time with Him? Are we remembering all He’s done for us? Are we growing an actual relationship based on truth? Are we practicing taking up our cross? And then I have the CUTEST story to share about my kiddo that reminded me that the seeds I am sowing MATTER. When Your Quiet Time Doesn't Look Like It Used To (Seeking God In Busy Seasons)
Have you ever looked back at a previous season of life and thought, “My time with God used to look different. I must be failing now." Motherhood. Work. Marriage. Little ones waking before sunrise. Responsibilities that don’t seem to end. Today we're talking about why walking with God is a priority in every season—even if it doesn't look the same in every season. We'll explore what Scripture says about seeking the Lord, why our relationship with Him matters so deeply, and how we can let go of false guilt while continuing to pursue Him wholeheartedly. The goal isn't recreating a past season. The goal is faithfully seeking Jesus right where He has you today. Are You Asking God to Follow YOUR Plans? Ask What HE’S Doing Instead
Maybe you have dreams, goals, prayers, and plans you're working hard toward. You're asking God to bless them, open doors, and make them successful... but have you stopped to ask what He is doing? Today, we're talking about what it looks like to surrender our plans (sometimes without giving up on the dreams God has placed in our hearts).  Here’s your invitation to pause, reflect, and re-center before taking our next steps. I’ve been reminded by God to bring every area of my life before God—not just asking Him to bless my desires, but praying: "Lord, if this isn't what You have for me, change my heart. Show me what You want, and I'll follow." If you've been feeling uncertain about what's next, wrestling with unanswered prayers, or simply wanting to make sure you're walking where God is leading, I hope this conversation encourages you to slow down and seek His heart before your own agenda. Making an Eternal Impact: Use Every Opportunity to Point to God
God gives us opportunity to point to Him, to be part of what He’s doing in the world. Let’s lean in and act on those opportunities, those nudges on our hearts - and in turn, make an eternal impact. In today's episode of She Lives Purposefully, I'm sharing two simple stories from motherhood that deeply encouraged my own faith. This episode is an encouragement to listen when the Holy Spirit nudges you, to plant seeds of faith wherever God has placed you, and to remember that making an eternal impact often begins in ordinary, everyday conversations. Whether your mission field is motherhood, your workplace, your friendships, or your community, God has given you opportunities to point people to Him. Scriptures Mentioned: 1 Corinthians 3:6–7 — We plant and water, but God gives the growth. Matthew 9:37 — "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." Doubting God hears (or cares about) your prayer? (SPOLER: HE does)
Is there a prayer you've stopped praying because you assumed God wasn't listening? Today, I share a story as a Christian mom of answered prayer with my toddler - a small, silly prayer answered almost immediately TWICE in a row.  That small moment became a bigger conversation: God hears you. It also showed me lies that I was believing about prayer, even as a Bible believing, Christian woman.  We dive into this mini testimony AND Scripture that tells us that God hears, He is near, and He answers, even if not always how we expect. God Doesn't Need You Qualified — He Needs You Willing
Feeling Unqualified for What God Calls You To? What Moses’s Story Teaches Us Ever caught yourself thinking, "God, why choose me? She's more qualified. She's been walking with You longer. She has the platform, the gifts, the put-together life — not me."  Today we're sitting with Moses in Exodus 3-4, where he asked God that exact question... and God's answer wasn't a list of Moses' qualifications. It was Himself.    Scripture Referenced Exodus 3:11-12 Exodus 4:10-17 Ephesians 1:4 1 Peter 2:9 John 15:16 Ephesians 2:10 Philippians 3:7-9 Links: Hosanna Revival — 15% off + an extra 10% off with my code SHELIVESPURPOSEFULLY https://hosannarevival.com/shelivespurposefully Daily Grace Co — Door Busters Sale + an extra 10% off with my code MEGANE10 thedailygraceco.com/shelivespurposefully  Learn more about your ad choices. Stop Jogging Through Your Faith: Run on Purpose with Intention, Discipline & Living Fully for Jesus
You love Jesus—but if you're honest, it can be easy to coast. Maybe you've got the intention but not the follow-through. Maybe you're following through, but your heart's off: it's for the checklist, the self-promotion, the feeling instead of for Him. In this episode, we're sitting in 1 Corinthians and asking the uncomfortable-but-good question: Am I running this race to obtain the prize, or just living the Christian life aimlessly? Paul says runners run to get the prize, so run in a way that wins it and a couple chapters later, whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.  I share the simple rhythm my husband and I started and the honest self-examination that followed: Am I running with intention, discipline, and determination —or lackadaisically, only when it's convenient, or worse, for myself? We talk about where "running to win" actually shows up in ordinary life. 15% off Hosanna Revival Code ‘shelivespurposefully’: https://hosannarevival.com/shelivespurposefully  Learn more about your ad choices.
