Welcome to my last episode of the year, beautiful people! I know this may be disappointing for some of you but your girl needs to fill her cup. Throughout these first two seasons, I've talked to countless women about the power of the pause but if I'm honest, I haven't taken one for myself and it's time. I don't have an exact return date but when I do come back to the mic the timing will be divine, so I thank you all for listening, for sharing, and being a part of this community of Black women founders, creators, and innovators. This week on the She Did That. Podcast, I'm in conversation with Andrea Lewis. You may know her from her acting roles in Degassi: The Next Generation or Black Actress but today, I'm talking to the Ontario, Canada native about her latest role as the creator and executive producer of The Black Beauty Effect. The three-part, first-of-its kind docuseries examines the Black women who are serving as catalysts for social change within the beauty industry and premieres exclusively on Black Experience on Xfinity this week on November 25th. P.S. It's not too late to join us for the She Did That. Holiday Bazaar in NYC on December 3rd. Get your tickets today at shedidthatholidaynyc.eventbrite.com! Produced by Dear Media

Brittany Golden is a Los Angeles-based wife, beauty influencer, and founder of IGL Nails. The brand represents the next generation of press-on nails while encouraging us to ‘Never Have Fugly Nails.’ I had an opportunity to experience IGL Nails on set this summer while we were both working on a TV project that you'll hear more about in the episode. I'm really proud of what Brittany is building with IGL Nails and can't wait to have her as a merchant at this year's She Did That. Holiday Bazaar here in New York City! If you're ready to shop over 40 Black women-owned brands and be intentional about your holiday spending, this is the place to be on December 3rd. Grab your tickets at shedidthatholidaynyc.eventbrite.com and get into this super inspiring conversation with one of this year's vendors! Produced by Dear Media

Melissa Butler, is a Detroit native who has skillfully and strategically launched two start-up beauty brands, The Lip Bar and Thread Beauty, into nationwide phenomenons. Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Florida A & M University before going on to work on Wall Street as a licensed stock broker. Her journey from stocks and bonds to beauty is one that she describes as natural, not because she loves makeup, but because she was frustrated with the industry and therefore created a solution. I'm so excited to share a really beautiful conversation I had recently with Antoinette and Shanti of Around the Way Curls. There's so much to love about these women. You may know them from their blogging and YouTube days, or you may have discovered them over the past few years with their podcast, but whatever your introduction to them has been, there's absolutely no denying their deep love and admiration for each other. In this age of cancel culture, it's really dope to see two friends who've committed to growing with each other in such a sweet way. Listen in as we dive deep into Around the Way Curls, a show that is rooted in friendship and self-actualization. A show that honors the profound and the profane. A show that reminds us that duality is a thing. Produced by Dear Media
