Compassion
Shame ON Me Podcast Episode 3 Compassion is not an add-on.  It begins with non-judgmental acceptance of yourself and then expands to others. I’ve come to believe that self-compassion is the most necessary first step towards mental healthiness. I’m coming to a similar belief that compassion for others is where civic healthiness will happen. There are so many ways to get things wrong as we move through this world, both within our selves and as part of families and other relationships. Compassion that grows out of a mindfulness practice of some kind seems to be a path almost guaranteed to succeed.
