This week on Set List: Jaclyn Heuser! Jaclyn is a member of the band Better Love and a staple in the Chicago music scene. Throughout her set list, Jaclyn explains her opinions on songwriting, production, and live performance. Jeff and Jaclyn also reminisce on their college days as musicians in the Illinois State University music scene.

This week’s guest is a VERY busy drummer - Dean Sinclair of August Hotel (and many other projects). Dean’s set list is a map of the evolution in not only his drumming style, but his relationship with music. In this conversation, which happens to be the longest one Dean and Jeff have ever had, they find they have a lot more in common as musicians (and as people) than they expected.

On this week's episode, Jeff is joined by another friend and fellow Chicago musician, Claire Zhang. Claire is a member of Splits, and is a touring member for indie artist Tasha. Claire's set list is a map of her life's musical journey - beginning from the very moment Green Day inspired her to pick up a guitar. Claire and Jeff also discuss their unlikely first encounter, and proceeding serendipitous relationship.

On the premiere of Set List, Kylie Bruetman of The Mild West gives Jeff his fantasy five song set list, defends his decisions with some music history, and declares a fondness for both the Bee Gees and a documentary about the Bee Gees. Kylie and Jeff also tease a future collaboration with each other.
