All of this is true...

::Emotional intelligence allows you to de-identify with emotions in order to feel, understand and operate with them at the same time.

::Intense emotions make us self-absorbed and emotional intelligence brings our awareness to others.

::There are simple shifts you can make in how you communicate (with others and yourself) to help you manage high-pressure situations.

::Multitasking is actually just monotasking with unfocused attention.  How to give your fullest attention to each task you’re doing when there are piles of tasks to juggle simultaneously.

::There are times when open awareness Is useful and times when is it not.  It’s important to understand how to be mindful while also allowing unconscious processes to occur.

::You can hack "amygdala hijack" (when the part of our brain that makes us run away or bite things takes over our mental processes) to be able to meet intense situations head on.

::Being too giving to those that need care can compromise your ability to be a caregiver.  “Mindful caregiving” is essential for preventing burnout, misery and deteriorating health.
