This week I share tools and tips to help you get a better grasp of your soul’s purpose also known as your dharma or your spiritual life purpose. Discovering your soul’s purpose goes beyond figuring out your career path or how you want to make money. Instead, your soul purpose is an all-day, everyday, lifetime endeavor. Many of us are disconnected from our purpose because we forget as we navigate this life experience. But these tips can help you get closer to your truth and see beyond the limited choices we may have been taught regarding what our life should look like. Hey everyone! Welcome to this week’s episode of Seeking Sabiduria, a podcast about seeking higher wisdom through spirituality and self-discovery. This week I reflect on the last 3 guest episodes. I am so grateful for all the guests that have joined me on the show! In this episode, I share what I have learned about myself after having these guests on and what I learned about sharing my voice through podcasting. I start with reviewing the last few episodes including the episode I did in Spanish with Jimena Free Spirit, for those who do not speak Spanish. The episode with Jimena brought me back to thinking about my self-love journey which I began about 5 years ago. I share how her story helped me make the connection between struggling to find self-love for myself and my desire for freedom. I also share some lessons I’ve learned about podcasting, so this is a great episode for anyone who is on their podcasting journey or who wants to share their voice in any way. From working on minimizing filler words and slowing down when I speak (even though it’s hard when I have so many ideas to share), to deciding when my perspective is enough versus when I should support my ideas with additional information. This week, I am excited to introduce my next guest, Chris, the founder of TheSkyBeckons.com. Chris is a spiritual fitness coach, energy healer, and hacker who guides people on their healing journey to practice self-love, connect with their inner child and identify their life purpose through energy healing, coaching, education, and accountability. In this episode I talk about what are values, why are they important, and how you can start defining and prioritizing your most important values. Values are core beliefs that guide or motivate our actions. When we get to explore and define what our personal values are in different aspects of our life we can also start to compare the differences between our values and the values we have been taught by our society and culture. Values are also helpful for making big and small decisions in life. When we can prioritize what is most important to us in life, it can help relieve guilt or shame for putting ourselves first and enforcing our boundaries with others. Everyone’s values are different and we may even define the same value differently than someone else would. It’s important to take time to think about what your values are and how you want to show up in the world to live in alignment with your true values. On this episode of the podcast, I talk about what is self-discovery. I also introduce myself and share my hopes for this weekly Spanglish podcast. I love talking about self-discovery and ways that we can know ourselves deeper. My self-discovery journey has been life-changing for me. I have dedicated the past 5 years increasingly questioning who I am and what I want in life which has set me off on what I call my spiritual awakening and self-discovery journey. Through my self-discovery journey, I’ve learned there are many spiritual and psychological tools to explore existential questions about life, identity, and purpose. Acquiring knowledge of self is a never-ending process, which is why in this episode I speak more on the life-changing potential for starting or deepening one’s self-discovery journey to encourage you to begin your journey within and continue to practice self-inquiry every day. Some of my hopes for this podcast include sharing the wisdom I have gained on my self-discovery journey, sharing spiritual and psychological tools and practices to deepen your self-awareness, and bringing on wonderful guests to share about their self-discovery journey. Since this is a Spanglish podcast, I will also share episodes in Spanish and Spanglish (a mixture of Spanish and English language). As a Latina, my culture is essential to my identity and understanding of who I am and why I am the way that I am. That is why I knew I could not do a podcast without sharing my voice in both Spanish and English so that this wisdom can reach wider audiences.
