Upon returning home from working away, I had 2 weeks off and as fate would have it, several life-changing experiences grouped closely together. This is my first recording in a while, and a lot has shifted. Didgeridoo has become my obsession. My understanding that we are multidimensional beings with God-like powers upon the expansion of our consciousness has become real in ways I never thought possible. I have significantly more clarity and faith in my path. Much of the growth and shifts over the last 8 months since my last recording are tied into this story of my recent Hape, Ayahuasca, and San Pedro journeys. This was a full-circle journey - a new chapter is beginning.

Once again, San Pedro has completely blown me away and changed how I view reality. This is the story of my fourth communion with San Pedro, aka Huachuma, The Grandfather (active component mescaline).This was by far the most "magical" experience of my life. By "magical" I mean it in the most literal sense of the word - to literally alter physical reality with mental/spiritual powers. In this case that meant air bending abilities. I come from a strongly atheistic skeptical frame of thinking prior to my first awakening experience - to hear that story, check out the episode Awakening to Awe - so this experience was particularly shocking. Post awakening, I had an open mind to magic, but to experience it firsthand in this way was truly remarkable. It has resulted in some interesting ideas about the nature of reality and I could not be more excited to continue to explore the truly magnificent potential of these medicines, and in general, the immense potential of the human experience. I believe we are far more powerful than we can possibly imagine. I am so happy to be finally sharing this story. I have tried for some time now to find the words to share this story, and finally committed myself to just do it!  This is my Seeking Awe story. One where I discover awe is everywhere, and therefore can always be found. We are OK, and always will be OK. We are loved. This awakening happened in a single flash moment where everything changed. It was preceded by rather turbulent times of peak experiences, life challenges, and epiphanies shortly after moving into my van and committing to discover who I really am.

Ant colonies are an incredible example of emergent phenomena; where a complex process emerges from simpler parts. I also believe this is a beautiful analogy for how I like to think of "God". Thinking about a higher power as analogous to this inherent intelligence that emerges out of ant colonies, can help bring ideas of a "God" back down to earth a little. What might the hive mind of humanity look like? If we are all just ants guided by the laws of Nature, what is Nature building through us? What is our ant hill?

A few months ago I was invited to a gifting circle. I was told if I "gift" 500 USD and then invite two people in a week I will be able to receive 8 times my initial gift (4000 USD) and continue to receive a total sum of 3500 USD monthly. I quickly discovered it was a pyramid scheme and I also discovered many of my friends and some of the most inspiring people I know in my spiritual community were involved in it.Over the coming months, I felt a growing discomfort with the existence of this scheme in my community, and a growing desire to talk about it. I believe that part of my soul's purpose is to help wake up as many people as possible to spiritual ideas and spiritual community, and it seemed clear to me that these circles are a direct counterforce to that goal. I focus mainly on this concern in the podcast and encourage others to speak up about it if you also agree with what I've said.I should note that my strong stance against this practice takes nothing away from the love I have for the people who are involved. It is my belief that the scheme itself is inherently manipulative and is designed in such a way to actively ignore and avoid ethical arguments against the practice. This avoidance of rational discussion is probably what worries me most about it. It has also inspired me to create a Facebook group to share sources, and educational resources to help people make sense of this increasingly muddied information ecosystem we currently exist in.
