Episode 3 : I am surprised how little of my mood is expressed aloud as I drove through the golden foothills this day. The presence of loneliness clung to me like a swarm of gnats on a late summer evening.  Even as I drove along, the feeling stayed with me, and followed me home. Perhaps the sound of my own voice in conversation was enough to fool my own mind, my own self, as I spoke. A small enough distraction, in those moments, to trick me into believing I was not on my own. I feel so curious to know why loneliness is such a haunting notion.
