I just started listening to this podcast, but I can tell it’s going to be in the rotation. The episode about sound editing was very helpful as a fellow podcaster. Sound quality is great!

The Secret Nerd is my go-to podcast for all things tabletop: Navaar is such a thoughtful host, and the guest lineup of the show is incredible. I’ve learned about so many amazing game designers, actual play creators and performers, and industry professionals from this show, and their insights have contributed to my own growth as a game designer and AP producer/GM. And the show is FUN; it’s a true delight to tune in each week. Highly recommend!

I first heard about this podcast when Chris Spivey (guest for episode 50) tweeted that he had recorded an interview for the podcast. I’ve listened to episodes 46 through 54 (which came out this week) and have been captivated by the interviews and hearing the perspectives and stories of the host’s guests. I deeply appreciate the thoughtful, warmly curious, and chill vibe of each episode - certainly the interviews but also the music and Navaar’s insights into creativity and TTRPG spaces. I am just beginning to dig into the back catalog but I am delighted to have found my new favorite RPG podcast. Thanks for this gem!

Thanks for opening my mind and knowledge about RPG. I’m learning a lot and appreciative for the depth and it’s approach to culture, diversity and the nuances of this content and users.

A hidden gem and rising star amongst podcasts. Highly recommend that anyone who’s interested in TTRPGs and the folks that make them happen download, listen, and follow this show. The host is insightful, gracious and charismatic. Definitely a 10/10!

As a not so secret nerd, I really love this podcast and the way it feels so genuine and fun. The conversation flows so well and actually makes me kind of want to play a TTRPG. There’s a good balance of humor and sincerity when they talk about what can be heavy topics.

A great new podcast that examines the TTRPG landscape and nerd life from a much needed perspective.
