Man Bear Pony
You guys are doing amazing work. Not enough men are exploring in addressing their mental health and being open about what they are dealing with and I think it’s great that you are showing other men that it is OK to do so thank you.

NEVER SKIP
I love these guys and their ability to put into words what I’m feeling. This pod feels like a hang, but with a mental health twist. And the guests are always great. Keep doing what you do boys!

Them being so open about not being experts makes the vulnerability that much better. And they’re funny! And sexy!

Codependency
Sometimes I feel like the guys sometimes talk about codependency inaccurately. But I appreciate the authentic vulnerability nonetheless.

A must listen!
I really enjoy the topics they cover and it gives me insights I may not otherwise have. Plus it’s refreshing hearing men talk about their struggles and sharing their perspectives.

Disappointing
This feels more like a covert narcissist using weaponized therapy speak against his “friend”.
Are you gonna delete this?
Men who get it!
Give this a listen and you’ll see that these guys get it. It’s so nice to hear men like this talk about feelings. Not always trying to hard to be right, but trying to be better and honest!

Emotional intelligence in action
I have hope for mankind when I listen to these two. By talking about their internal struggles they are normalizing men expressing pain and sadness. This is the way boys should be raised. All the men that complain that women won’t date them should pay attention and do the same.

Incredibly real
I really enjoy listening to these guys go through it. They’re real and open about situations most would run away from. However, if mouth sounds bother you this isn’t the pod for you.

Not therapists
People who are looking for therapy advice please go to therapy! Don’t listen if you are expecting someone to tell you what to do. It’s not a one size fits all. This is what is working for them. Might not for you.
This is a truly a phenomenal podcast. I’m not looking for advice, but I love their relationship and they are helping to normalize therapy. I also wish more men their age would listen and think hey, these are just guys going through it like me, maybe I can go to therapy too!
Anyway, I listen because two people are being vulnerable with each other (and strangers!) and it’s beautiful!

Disappointing and Unfocused
I had high hopes for this podcast, but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. The episodes often feel disjointed and lack a clear direction, making it hard to follow and stay engaged. The hosts sometimes seem unprepared, and the advice given often feels generic and uninspired. Not to mention their dynamic feels more like a bully and victim rather than friends, which makes for an uncomfortable listening experience. I was hoping for a podcast that would offer meaningful therapy insights, but Secondhand Therapy left me feeling more frustrated than helped. There are definitely better options out there for those seeking genuine and impactful mental health advice.

Men’s mental health
Couldn’t believe how much I learned from listening to these two. As a man it can be hard to really look at myself, so I know this is basic but hearing men talk about their feelings is actually necessary.

I really enjoyed listening to the episodes while i was studying!

Wow!
During this podcast I enjoyed hearing from the perspective of men. To know I can relate to other people makes me happy. This podcast is very open minded and not at all judgmental. It’s something I enjoy listening too and not feel like it’s a chore.

These 2 get it
Love this podcast! I don’t usually like men talking, but these guys are real and growing. I love how they call each other out with love—truly refreshing! My first listen every Monday.
Amended: the negative reviews clearly don’t understand that these guys are supposed to challenge each other…Lou just does it in a way that makes people who can’t handle directness uncomfortable 🐻😊

Funny and deep!!!
This pod is so great! These guys obviously have their work to do like us all!!! The negative reviews are just people who think this is their friendship, where it’s beyond just these convos! They care deeply about each other’s growth and are so diff, but it’s so entertaining! Love them both and their love for each other.

Absolutely enjoyed listening!
During the podcast I got to learn a lot about not just the struggle of mental health with men but of the relationship between Lou and Mike. Their friendship is a pure demonstration of what it actually is having friends. Sometimes you may disagree or agree because you collide with two very different perspectives.
Their mental health conversation was a reality check for me. As an 18 year old female I felt relating a lot to them since I encountered my therapist believing that I did not need these services. I understood the “I’m fine” response and constantly faking your mental state of mind.
Listening to this podcast was a joy and having the opportunity to listen to a conversation that stated many facts about their lives which made me aware of things from mine that connected. Learning about how everyone in upcoming generations are developing depression and/or ADHD shows that society is getting worse in terms of mental health. The reason for this may be due to the pressure and expectations past generations have put upon us to continue on with their work as they begin to pass.
Nevertheless, thank you to Lou and Mike for creating this discussion and for not being afraid to be vulnerable. I know for me I learn that I am indeed not alone when it comes to this side of mental health.

Lou is a bully
I honestly had to stop listening and unsubscribe. Lou is so unempathetic toward Mike and it just makes me so sad. Allegedly they’re supposed to be friends, but there just seems to be no effort to try to understand where Mike is coming from. Run, Mike, run!
Ederina
Wanted to like it...
I think it's an interesting niche since it seems there's not a lot of men out there who talk about their emotions and therapy journey, so I was excited to listen. Honestly, though.... I'm bored. Nothing groundbreaking but good luck to them.

I wanna be friends
Love listening to the two of you figure life out together. It didn't take me long to catch up on episodes, and today was my first weekly listen. Now I'm just like the rest of the peasants. Keep keeping it real.

OMG YOU GUYS
Staaahhppppp. Lou. You have to stop beating Mike up. I can barely listen to it anymore. Self-awareness is something to work on. You have to find a better, nicer way to talk to him. I think that Mike is far more self-aware. Every word out of your mouth sounds negative. I wouldn’t last five minutes in a room with you.
Janet52765
Well done
I listened to the latest episode and felt like I was in the room with yall. Well done, keep it up boys

Brilliant
This podcast brilliantly fills a necessary gap in the overly- saturated, amateur mental health podcast space. These two are entertaining, authentic, relatable and honest, humorously providing refreshing insight into the male psyche. Bravo!

Think I’m in love with both of them
Love this podcast, insightful hilarious and learning through the process. It’s re-assuring to hear guys be vulnerable and open.

An absolutely beautiful podcast, please keep it up.

Real talk
I found them on TikTok. I felt myself relating to Michael talking about his grief over his moms passing. For many years I felt alone in my grief. It’s incredibly painful. And i felt shame because I’m an “adult” and I shouldn’t be still stuck in my grief. The tears are bigger and endless and now I don’t feel so alone. Thank you both so much for allowing a beautiful safe space to be me. Thank you both for letting me know we’re all in this together.
