I wrote this when I was a little bit disappointed with the way my work was being received. It can be read as a poem for a soured relationship too or one where control is exhibited by another and the goalposts of that partnership are always moving. Either way, it is a poem about remaining true to what you know about yourself.

A long car journey on a misty Autumn morning prompted this poem.

I find my inspiration everywhere - today, it's my socks.
