Sunday’s Sermon:Aliso Creek Church PodcastPassage:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. 24 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.27 Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. 29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, 30 engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have.(Philippians Song:Your Will Be Done by Jonny Robinson and Rich ThompsonLyrics: Your will be done my God and FatherAs in heaven so on earthMy heart is drawn to self-exaltingHelp me seek Your kingdom firstAs Jesus walked so shall I walkHeld by Your same unchanging loveBe still my soul O lift your voice and prayFather not my will but Yours be doneHow in that garden he persistedI may never fully knowThe fearful weight of true obedienceIt was held by him aloneWhat wondrous faith to bear that crossTo bear my sin what wondrous loveMy hope was sure when there my Saviour prayedFather not my will but Yours be doneWhen I am lost when I am brokenIn the night of fear and doubtStill I will trust in my good FatherYes to one great King I bowAs Jesus rose so I shall riseIn ransomed glory at the throneMy heart restored with all Your saints I singFather not my will but Yours be doneAs we go forth our God and FatherLead us daily in the fightThat all the world might see Your gloryAnd Your Name be lifted highAnd in this Name we overcomeFor You shall see us safely homeNow as Your church we lift our voice and prayFather not my will but Yours be doneAnd in this Name we overcomeFor You shall see us safely homeNow as Your church we lift our voice and prayFather not my will but Yours be doneFather not my will but Yours be doneFather not my will but Yours be donePrayer:This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.
