Ya mans Chives is headed to Houston's largest comic con - Comicpalooza! This episode is recorded in two chunks - before heading to the con and after coming back from it. I'm excited to get there and report back. Houston comic fans ASSEMBLE.

This episode will venture off the topical discussions into a more focused discussion on the most specific topic to date - the legend Grant Morrison. This episode gets into the vast amount of stories in the Marvel universe, and how much of it I felt compelled to cover before the major milestone of Hickman's Secret Wars. Episode #4 of Screwed Up Comics goes into the business side of the comics hobby. In this part in particular, I discuss how creators taking promotion and marketing of their work into their own hands directly translates to more success for their upcoming release. Several examples are gone through, in terms of creators and promotional methods.

Episode #3 starts with some quick details on the upcoming giveaway before diving into the episode's topic!  In this episode, I discuss the good and bad of reimagining existing characters as a means for inclusivity and diversity, as well as when these initiatives are applied to a new character(s). 

I plan on doing a series of episodes on speculating, and this is the first episode of that. Lately speculation surrounding comic books has been at highs only seen during the 90's. With several new avenues to sell comics than back in the original bubble, book values have soared to highs that the market can't correct. I talk about the things that are enabling comic speculation and how it is ultimately a downside for the hobby, as well as discuss when/what I enjoy about speculating and when I choose to do it - so it's not an episode made up of entirely trashing the resale market! Episodes are still improving, and editing is difficult for a newcomer - bear with me and I promise things will sound better and better 👍🏽
