Episode 006. Hello everyone & happy Friday :) In today's episode, I chat to Laura Medley about coming of age, navigating big life changes, hustle culture and so on. We also talk about imposter syndrome, future goals, finding contentment in the present and the importance of retaining perspective as we grow up. With the rise of social media and our constant exposure to other people's lives, comparison is something we all struggle with be it in a social, academic, or professional capacity. Episode 005. Today's episode focuses on our relationship with alcohol. I'm joined by my friend Leonie (back by popular demand) to discuss our thoughts and opinions about drinking, the prevalence of a 'drink-to-get-drunk culture' in Ireland, anxiety after drinking known as 'the fear' and much more. Enjoy our train of thought as we share anecdotes, discuss the drinking culture in college and in Ireland as a whole and why alcohol can have profoundly negative effects on one's mental health. We talk about Maisey's success setting up her own business hand making tote bags, handbags and bucket hats from scrap materials in West Cork while being a full time university student. We also more broadly discuss the issues within the fast fashion industry, our interest in sustainable and slow fashion brands and how being sustainable can be fun, creative and environmentally friendly!
