Part Seven brings Born Wild: Koda’s Odyssey, Volume Two to a close while quietly opening the door to everything that comes next. The story returns to the clearing where so much of Koda and Eli’s journey began, the same place where a frightened human boy once left gifts for a curious young sasquatch. One year later, the two sit together and look back on everything they have built: the alliance, the sacrifices, the dangers, and a friendship that should never have been possible in the first place. As Eli faces a choice between the life he has known and the one he is beginning to understand, the final chapter settles into a quieter, more reflective moment. It is an ending built around trust, connection, and the possibility that fear does not have to decide what happens when two very different worlds finally meet. But Volume Two does not end there.Once the main story closes, Part Seven shifts into an extended preview of Volume Three and reveals that someone believed to be dead is still alive. Far to the west, beneath the desert at a secret installation known as Site Seven, Adanowa has spent the last year imprisoned, cataloged, cut open, tested, and studied as if he were nothing more than a specimen. Then, in the darkness beneath the facility, he finds something he never expected: an ally. Skull is a Dogman born in captivity, hardened by the only world he has ever known. Somehow, two creatures who should have every reason to distrust one another become the unlikeliest of friends.Together, they find a way out.Their escape changes everything. Adanowa is now heading east, back toward the clans that once believed him lost, with Skull walking beside him. And that means he is returning home alongside the very kind of creature his people are already at war with. The friendship forged beneath Site Seven is about to collide with old loyalties, old hatred, and a conflict that is far from over. This is the end of Volume Two.It is also the beginning of the next chapter.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Brian welcomes Linda from California and longtime Bigfoot researcher David Raygoza for a firsthand encounter and the investigation that followed.Linda shares how the Patterson-Gimlin film first sparked her interest in Bigfoot before strange experiences in the forests around Shasta and the Trinity Alps made the subject much more personal. Then, on June 28 near the Shaver Lake area, she saw something she couldn't explain.Standing roughly 50 yards away in a meadow near power lines was an enormous, long-haired figure she estimated at 8 to 10 feet tall. Broad, muscular, and completely motionless, the creature remained in full daylight long enough for Linda to get a clear look. When Linda later returned to the area, she connected with researcher David Raygoza. A former science teacher and high school principal with more than 25 years of Bigfoot research experience, including work with the BFRO, David investigated the site and discovered several barefoot tracks measuring approximately 12 to 15 inches long, some showing only four toes.David also shares several of his own encounters from decades in the field, including a remarkable 15-minute observation, an encounter with a massive individual he describes as an “old man,” a younger Sasquatch filmed near an apple, and a small juvenile. He also recounts a strange investigation near Henry Cowell State Park involving a movie director, unexplained nighttime activity, and mysterious footprints. For Linda, the experience wasn't terrifying. It left her even more curious—and more willing to trust the inner voice that sometimes tells her when it's time to leave the woods.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Fred from the SubArctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube Channel is back with one of the strangest and most unsettling wilderness stories he has shared yet. Curtis, James, and their friend Mike had spent years saving for the chance to fly into a remote stretch of Alaska near the Kuskokwim River. What was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime quickly turned into something none of them could explain. Soon after arriving, Curtis heard Mike and James talking outside the tent, only to discover neither man was there. From that point forward, the trip became increasingly bizarre. The three men experienced an unexplained lapse in time, confusion over what they had been doing, boots that seemed to have been switched, Mike’s boots disappearing entirely, and rifles turning up in places where no one remembered leaving them. Then came the sounds. Powerful screams carried through the wilderness. Strange whistles circled the camp. Something repeatedly swiped at the tent with what sounded like a large hand. In the darkness, the men spotted distant eye shine that appeared green before shifting to red.Gear continued to disappear, including their camp stove, while Mike began waking up away from the others on a nearby game trail with no memory of how he had gotten there. The group eventually moved camp, but whatever had been following them seemed to move with them. Mike’s missing boots were suddenly thrown back into camp, and later a large, dark, hairy figure briefly grabbed the tent and pulled at it before disappearing into the darkness.By the time their pilot returned, Curtis, James, and Mike were desperate to leave. But the story did not end when the plane arrived. The pilot also spotted a large dark figure near the camp and made an even more disturbing admission: this was not the first time people flying into that area had reported seeing something unusual.Missing time. Stolen gear. Mimicked voices. Strange lights in the darkness. And something large moving just beyond the edge of camp. This is a remote Alaska trip that went wrong in ways none of them were prepared for.Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTubeEmail BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Part Six of Born Wild: Koda's Odyssey, Volume Two settles into the hardest work in the whole story, and there isn't a single punch thrown in it.The emergency council runs deep past midnight, and for the first time sasquatch, Dog men, and humans are all in the same clearing trying to build something instead of tearing it down. The immediate crisis has passed. Dask's offer of cooperation has been met, cautiously, and now comes the part nobody's good at.The details. Where the boundaries fall, what counts as a violation, who answers for it when someone crosses a line. None of these peoples has ever trusted the others, and every one of them has a reason not to start now.Into that standoff steps an unlikely figure. Eli, the boy with no rank and no claws and no official standing, turns out to be the one voice all three sides can hear, precisely because he threatens none of them. What he offers isn't strength. It's a different way of looking at a problem the older ones have been too angry, or too proud, to solve. This is the quiet center of the book, where the story stops asking who can win a fight and starts asking whether old enemies can actually choose something better. The answer doesn't come easy, and it doesn't come clean, and the forest beyond the firelight hasn't stopped being dangerous just because a few of them decided to talk. What gets built here is fragile. Whether it holds is a question for the road still ahead.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? In this episode, Brian welcomes two guests with remarkable Bigfoot encounters that span decades and stretch from the mountains of North Carolina to the swamps of Connecticut.First, North Carolina truck driver Dwayne shares a startling daylight sighting along Highway 18 near Kings Creek School. Traveling the familiar two-lane road in late April roughly two years ago, Dwayne watched an estimated eight-foot-tall, black, powerfully built creature cross the highway directly in front of him. In only five or six enormous strides, it covered the road, stepped over a roughly three-foot guardrail without breaking pace, and disappeared into the thick woods on the opposite side. The encounter sent Dwayne searching through local Bigfoot reports, Appalachian folklore, and stories passed down through families around the Linville Gorge, Watauga County, and the surrounding North Carolina mountains. That search leads Brian into the historical record and an old newspaper story Dwayne remembered as dating to 1888. While investigating the claim, Brian uncovers a verified December 14, 1877, account from the Charlotte Daily Observer, reprinted from the Statesville Landmark, describing a mysterious “Wild Man” reportedly seen prospecting in the Globe Valley near Blowing Rock. Witnesses described a hairy figure beating its chest and retreating toward a cave, offering a fascinating glimpse into Appalachian wild-man traditions decades before the term “Bigfoot” entered the American vocabulary.Brian also examines how seriously these nineteenth-century reports should be taken in an era when sensational newspaper stories and outright hoaxes were common. From there, the conversation explores Daniel Boone’s famous late-life story of encountering and killing what he reportedly called a “Yahoo,” the heavily publicized 1978 and 1979 sightings of the creature known as “Nobby” near Carpenter’s Knob, and a much more recent 911 report from 2010.Then Brian welcomes Steve, now living in North Carolina, who takes the story back to 1986 and one of the closest encounters ever shared on the show. While stationed at a submarine facility in Connecticut, Steve went squirrel hunting before daylight in the Assetunk Swamp. As morning arrived, he heard something moving through the woods and initially assumed it was a deer. Instead, an enormous hairy figure stepped across the trail less than thirty feet away. Steve estimates the creature stood at least nine feet tall, with dark skin, heavy hair, and a surprisingly human-looking face. Rather than immediately retreating, Steve moved closer, eventually getting within roughly fifteen feet before the creature looked down at him and exploded through the woods with enough force to sound, in his words, like a bulldozer. When Steve circled ahead and unknowingly cut off its path, the encounter changed. The creature unleashed a deep growl powerful enough that Steve says he could feel it throughout his body. Armed only with a sixteen-gauge double-barrel shotgun, he decided it was time to back away.Steve continued hunting the area afterward without another direct confrontation, but his experiences did not end in Connecticut.Since returning to North Carolina, he describes unexplained tree movements, possible vocalizations, strange nighttime sounds, unusual activity around his property, and other incidents that have kept him interested in the mystery. His approach, however, remains skeptical. Steve prefers going into the woods without assuming Bigfoot is responsible for every unexplained sound or broken branch, looking instead for evidence and conventional explanations first.Brian and Steve also discuss one of the biggest divisions within modern Bigfoot research: whether these creatures are undiscovered biological animals or something far stranger. Both remain skeptical of claims involving portals,...

Fred from the Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch channel returns with two unsettling “hairy man” encounters from the Alaska wilderness, separated by more than three decades but carrying some striking similarities. The first comes from Doug, a retired guide pilot who recalls a hunting trip roughly 35 years ago near Bear Creek in the Rampart Mountains. After one of his clients spotted what appeared to be a dead bear below a ridge, the couple insisted on hiking in for photographs. What they found instead was a strong, overpowering odor, signs that something large had been lying in the brush, and eventually a massive, dark-faced, long-haired humanoid crouched below them. When the woman accidentally dropped her camera toward the creature, it responded by throwing a rock back in their direction before disappearing through the terrain. The encounter did not end there. As the terrified couple rushed back toward Doug’s Piper Cub, the creature reportedly reappeared near the aircraft and was seen running alongside the plane as Doug accelerated for takeoff. By the time they were airborne, the couple wanted nothing more to do with the hunt and demanded to leave Alaska altogether.Fred then shares a much more recent account from Krista and Mike, who were e-biking along the Denali Highway near Cantwell and the Montague Flats when the atmosphere around them suddenly changed. Both began feeling as though they were being watched before spotting a large, grizzled figure covered in reddish-brown and gray hair standing in the brush. The figure grunted, moved toward them, and appeared to pursue them as they rode away.Farther down the trail, they saw it again crossing ahead of them and watching from a distance. Then came the sound neither of them could easily explain: a powerful rising scream they compared to an air-raid siren echoing across the Alaska backcountry. Two encounters. Two generations of witnesses. And two stories from some of the most remote country in North America where something large, intelligent, and very much alive may still be moving through the wilderness.SubArctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube ChannelEmail BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Part Five of Born Wild: Koda's Odyssey, Volume Two begins with the mistake the clans always knew was coming. Summer settles over the forest and brings people with it. More hikers, more campers, more cameras scanning the ridgelines for a postcard moment to carry home. The sasquatch do what they've always done when the world crowds in, pulling back into the heavy timber, moving only in the gray hours, eating less and resting less and watching more. But discipline can only stretch so far, and out in a dense stretch of old growth four miles from the nearest trail, a wildlife photographer named David Reeves is about to point his lens at something no magazine will ever publish.David isn't a weekend tourist. He's patient, serious, and good enough at reading the backcountry to go exactly where he shouldn't. That's the problem. One glimpse, one held breath, and suddenly the secret three years of caution were meant to protect is sitting exposed in the viewfinder of a man who knows what he's looking at.What follows tests everything Koda and the clans have built. A single photograph in the wrong hands could bring the whole outside world down on them, and the choices the sasquatch make in the hours after that encounter carry a weight none of the earlier fights ever did. This is the danger the clans have always feared most, and it doesn't come with claws or howls. It comes with a camera.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? In this episode, Brian welcomes Thomas Sewid of the Kwakwaka'wakw people of northern Vancouver Island for a wide-ranging conversation about Sasquatch traditions, firsthand encounters, Indigenous knowledge, and the debate over the more supernatural claims surrounding the subject.Thomas explains that Sasquatch, known by names including Ćunaq̣, Ts’uunaaka, Tl’onaq’a, Junakwa, and Chunag, holds a significant place within Kwakwaka'wakw culture. The figure appears in traditional masks, potlatch dances, crest imagery, totem poles, and generations of oral teaching. Growing up in a commercial fishing family, Thomas spent much of his life along the remote coast of British Columbia, where stories of Sasquatch were part of the cultural landscape long before the subject became popular in modern cryptozoology. He shares reports he gathered from fishermen, loggers, Indigenous communities, and people living throughout the coastal wilderness, along with several experiences of his own. These include a sighting with his father near Sayward and later encounters while Thomas was living and working deep in the bush and serving as a watchman in isolated areas.Thomas also offers his interpretation of behaviors commonly reported by Sasquatch witnesses. He believes some apparent wood knocks may actually be powerful hand slaps used as warning or communication signals and describes Sasquatch groups as operating within a coordinated clan structure that allows individuals to alert and support one another. He also discusses their ability to use terrain, cover, and wind direction to remain aware of people while avoiding detection. The conversation then turns to what Thomas openly calls the “woo” surrounding Sasquatch. He strongly rejects claims involving cloaking, portals, telepathy, and other paranormal abilities, arguing that fear, stress, and trauma can dramatically affect how people interpret unusual encounters. For Thomas, the investigation should remain focused on physical evidence, observable behavior, and claims that can ultimately be tested.Thomas also explores his belief that Sasquatch could represent an ancient or “original human” population and discusses why official recognition of such a species could create complicated questions involving Indigenous rights, land management, environmental protections, logging, development, and regional economies. It is a conversation that brings together generations of cultural tradition, decades spent in the wilderness, firsthand experience, and a decidedly evidence-focused approach to one of North America's most enduring mysteries.Thomas also discusses his Sasquatch Island work, SasquatchIsland.com, SasquatchLegend.com in Forks, Washington, and plans for an upcoming museum dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and traditions surrounding Sasquatch.Visit Sasquatch Island WebsiteVisit Sasquatch The Legend Website Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: <a...

Fred from the Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube channel is back with another unsettling account from the Alaska bush, this time involving two first cousins, Jacob and Charles, who were working at a small mining operation along the Yukon River in the early 1980s.At first, the trouble looked like vandalism. Equipment around the remote camp was being tampered with, water lines were disturbed, trees had been pushed over, and at one point the mining trommel was tipped. With no obvious explanation for what was happening, Charles was assigned to keep watch from a raised platform overlooking the site. That decision only made things stranger. While standing guard, Charles began experiencing a series of close calls. The platform beneath him seemed to shift unexpectedly, an improvised outhouse nearly collapsed while he was using it, and a powerful foul odor around the camp seemed to grow worse. Along with it came the persistent feeling that something nearby was watching him from the timber. Then came the noise. After heavy thrashing erupted in the brush, Jacob came down to check on Charles. When they swept the area with a spotlight, both men caught a brief look at an enormous dark figure moving quickly away from the camp. Based on what they saw against the surrounding trees and equipment, they estimated it stood somewhere around thirteen feet tall.Whatever it was, it didn't simply disappear into the woods. As the men tried to get away and waited for help, they witnessed the scaffolding being pushed over. When the site was examined in daylight, the damage was even harder to explain. The loader appeared to have been shoved from its position, the outhouse had been destroyed, and a large boulder had somehow been forced into the trommel. That was enough for the crew. The operation was abandoned, the men quit, and Charles was taken downriver to a clinic after the ordeal.Fred walks us through the full account and the strange chain of events that left two experienced men convinced that whatever had been tearing apart that mining camp wasn't another person. Part Four of Born Wild: Koda's Odyssey, Volume Two takes the alliance out of the meeting ground and into the dark, where good intentions stop counting for much and skill is the only thing that keeps you alive. It opens with Eli's first real night patrol, and the forest is not kind to him.Where Koda moves through the black between the trees like water around stone, Eli crashes through it like a wounded elk, learning the hard way that eyes are almost useless out there and that everything he thought he knew about the woods was daylight knowledge.Koda becomes his teacher, and the lessons are patient but unforgiving, because both of them understand that a single mistake in the wrong moment could expose everything they've built. This is where the fragile alliance stops being an idea and starts becoming real work. The humans have to earn their place, prove they can be an asset instead of a liability, and every close call out in the dark is a test of whether two species can truly watch each other's backs. But the forest holds more than lessons, and the deeper Koda and Eli push into the night, the clearer it becomes that neither the Dogmen nor the humans at the tree line have gone anywhere. The quiet is only ever borrowed, and the price of protecting something wild keeps climbing.Email BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter?
