This is a podcast worth listening to, to appreciate the complexities of the homelessness issue. And while the reporting has been illuminating, I’d have loved to see the podcast continue with greater depth into policy, actions, buts and bolts of issues faced by the homeless, the impact of covid and the opioid epidemic and much more. This is a topic that could easily justify a full time podcast and I hope Anna does do that:

It’s rare to find a podcast that is this good and absolutely fascinating. It was wonderful and incredibly interesting to learn about this women’s life in homelessness .

I think about the lives of LA’s homeless as I pass them, trying to do my best when I can to give them food or water or even my recyclables. This podcast does a great job of putting into reality what I had been thinking about all along.

I’m writing this review as I can’t get the Samaritans out of my head (which is a good thing). It was fascinating to follow the journey of just one of the thousands of people living on the LA streets and learn her story. I highly recommend.
