Rodwan, known for transforming everyday objects into new and unexpected forms, uses a variety of traditional and contemporary techniques to create ethereal fiber art. Her work reflects a deep connection to nature, incorporating organic forms and a rich palette of colors. Rodwan’s ability to evoke emotion through texture and pattern sets her apart in the realm of abstract fiber art. Jada Bowden, brings a bold and experimental edge to the world of fiber arts. Her innovative use of unconventional materials and techniques challenges traditional textile artistry. Bowden’s pieces showcase a fusion of vibrant colors and unconventional materials, pushing the boundaries of fiber art. Her work not only sparks visual interest but also encourages viewers to question preconceived ideas about the possibilities within the medium.

Trevor Edmonds is a multi-instrumentalist from Bay City Michigan who utilizes unique sound samplings, loops, and mixes these sonic elements to create his songs. Mickayel Thurin is a Haitian American artist born in 1987 in Newport News, VA. She grew up in NY, VA and MI, eventually landed in Philadelphia, PA to attend the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) where she studied painting. Thurin’s chief influences have consistently been expressive color, pattern and texture. The majority of her works tend to be colorful, expressive, abstracted portraiture done with mixed media. They often contain embroidery and collage. Her current exhibition BIG ENERGY is on display at the Saginaw Art Museum through August 2023. Jacob Wisenbach is a multi-instrumentalist with a primary focus on the trumpet. He is also the bandleader of the Midland Community Jazz Band, which will be playing at the Patricia A. Wolfgram Museum Tunes Concert Series on May 30 at the Saginaw Art Museum in our conversation today. Jacob describes his journey to becoming a trumpeter and the experience of being a band leader. His parents are Rev. Dr. James E. Terrell, Pastor of historic Second Baptist Church of Washington D.C. and Retired Superior Court Associate Judge Mary A. Terrell of the Superior Court of Washington D.C. He received his high school diploma from Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C., his Bachelor of Fine Art in 1999 from Howard University,and Master of Fine Arts in 2002 from Parsons School of Design in New York City and the Master of Divinity Degree from the Union Theological Seminary in New York City with a concentration on Theology and the Fine Arts in 2006. While attending Union Theological Seminary, he pursued Fine Arts painting elective courses at Columbia University. Terrell has exhibited his work all over the country and had multiple solo shows including at Museums. His current exhibition Transcendence beyond the terrestrial Plane can be seen at the Saginaw Art Museum through April 16, 2023

The Temple Theatre will be hosting TheaterWorks USA's production of The Magic School Bus-Lost in the Solar System on February 15, 2023. The production tells the story of a class that gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip! (Priscilla Beach Theatre), Exotic Bird/Princess in The Conference of the Birds (Winnipesaukee Playhouse), Julius Caesar as Julius Caesar (NYU Tisch Classical Studio), and the Little Mermaid as the Little Mermaid (Hangar Theatre). Travis Fader is the Executive Director and founder of NOEL: Experience Christmas, a Broadway style Christmas program debuting at the historic Theatre on December 9, 2022. Fader holds a  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northwood University. His musical background includes writing and orchestrating Christmas music, at the notable Ocean Way Studios with the renowned orchestra, The Nashville String Machine. In addition to writing and arranging music, Fader is an accomplished pianist, directed a 100-plus voice choir, and co-created a production that drew over 5,000 in annual attendance for its five-year run.
