It’s hard to fix something we don’t really understand. Rule of Thumb is your guide to better understanding those things that we’ve been trained not to talk about... until now. From family violence to separation to sexual harassment, host Penny Terry takes you into the offices of lawyers, researchers and support services, and into the homes of people who’ve lived through it. They’re the sorts of stories that can be hard to hear, but that you’ll never want to forget. SEASON ONE: Understanding family law and the path through separation. SEASON TWO: A guide to understanding, calling out and reducing family violence.  SEASON THREE: Unpacking the problems and solutions to sexual harassment. NOTE: This podcast discusses family violence and sexual harassment which may be triggering for some listeners. It also contains legal information which is not intended as legal advice.  This project was funded by the Tasmania Government through the Department of Communities as part of the COVID19 family violence response and through the Australian Government's Women's Safety Package.
