Living with and treating the Ruby Slipper Syndrome can be tough. Despite the fact that it's a completely fictitious syndrome, the symptoms are very real. Symptoms include (but are not limited to): despair, regret, anxiety, and discontentment. If you suffer from any of these you might just have this syndrome yourself. But don't fret, there is hope. Join Charity Mozafari and Toni Poston weekly as they talk through detecting, coping, and treating the Ruby Slipper Syndrome in their own lives and the lives of others.

Dating (Part 3) - The Good Not Great
Before Charity and Toni met the men of their dreams they participated in what their dad calls "divorce practice", or more commonly known as dating.  They had some really interesting relationships that taught them A LOT.  In this multiple episode series they  discuss three specific types of dating relationships - Destructos,  Good Not Greats, and the ONE(s).  In covering this topic we're hoping that someone, somewhere can learn from our mistakes and find some wisdom in navigating the mental and emotional mind-field of dating. In this episode  Charity and Toni recall the relationships that were good, but not God.  And though these relationships may not have bee obviously wrong, these were the ones the could have sneakily destroyed God's destiny and promise for their lives.

INTERVIEW with a Barbie Doll
Today we interview one of our favorites, Barbara Benigno.  Yes, she's a few years older than us, but so what?!?!  It's good to have friends in all age ranges, as it widens your gaze and gives you greater perspective.  And boy we can learn a lot from Barb.  She's been through the Ruby Slipper Syndrome a time or two, but she keeps on trucking.  She's proof that to stay forever young you just gotta keep on growing.  #goals

Sin - The root of our bad behavior
No one likes to talk about sin, but honestly it's what defines the state of humanity.  We are a bunch of broken beings in desperate need of help.  Sometimes sin is a hard one to pin down, as it's a slippery slope that starts out as fun and games and eventually turns to terrible. But, the good news is that there is a way of redemption for us all.  In this episode we talk about some of the sin that has been problematic for us and the root sources of that sinful actions.  Sounds like fun, right? 1 John 1:9 |  Romans 3:23-24 | Matthew 7:3 | Psalm 51:1-2 | Luke 6:45 | 1 John 1:6 | 1 Peter 2:24

Check Up - How we're doing?
Everyone needs a check up from time to time. You know... to see where you're at, how much progress you've made, and to investigate alternate treatment plans if necessary.  Well, this is our check up. We’ve come to realize we don't have this whole Ruby Slipper Syndrome thing figured out yet, despite having made great progress.  So it's good to check and let you all know where we are at.  And while discussing our progress we decided to take a look at one of our favorite Biblical examples for trail and error - Joshua and the people of Isreal making their way in the promise land.  They had some major victories and some set backs while working there way into their promise, so why wouldn't we look to them as a source of information.  So much to glean from them - Joshua 3-8.

Doing Too Much - Or am I?
One of the Prime Ruby Slipper Syndrome “symptoms” is adding and adding and adding to your life when what you already had was plenty, maybe even too much already.  Whether that addition is people, projects, or possessions RSS makes us believe we need more.  So we stack on, until we can't manage and we collapse under the weight of it.  Don't get us wrong, there are times when doing extra is necessary but that extra, better lead to a time of rest and peace.  Toni and Charity discuss how they are CURRENTLY dealing with this, as this might just be one of the symptoms that will never leave them.   ***And in the spirit of doing too much... if you'd like to contact us and possibly be featured on the show leave us a Voicemail at (913) 717-6140.  Or shoot us an email - [email protected].  We want to hear from you about possible episodes and how the Ruby Slipper Syndrome has effected you (the actual syndrome not the show).

Negative Talk - It's a Matter of Life & Death
When dealing with the Ruby Slipper Syndrome, one can find that negativity seems to rule.  It rules the heart, mind, thoughts, and eventually that negative comes oozing out somehow and that somehow is usually through words.  And despite the initial relief of a good “word vomit” eventually those words come back to bite! Charity & Toni are by no means master tongue tamers, but they are trying their best.  And in their effort, they've learned some things that you might just find helpful. So let's tackle this ugly symptom together.  Book Reference - The Bait of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense by John Bevere Proverbs 18:21 | Romans 1:28-31 | 1 Peter 3:10 | Colossians 4:6 | Ephesians 4:29 | Proverbs 10:19 | Proverbs 15:28 | James 1:19-26 | James  3:5-10 | Proverbs 15:1-2
