All this and more on this episode! We would love to hear from you! Email us at [email protected] About Tayla Lynn! There is a bright eyed enthusiasm to singer/songwriter Tayla Lynn that cannot be denied. There is a warmth in her voice, truth behind her piercing blue eyes, and genuine affection when she speaks of her history, her family and friends, and most of all her art. Born into one of Nashville’s greatest musical dynasties, Lynn’s passion for singing and performing was sparked from an early age watching Loretta Lynn and Ernest Ray Lynn. She was four the first time Loretta Lynn took her on stage. Signed to Skyville Records in 2007, Lynn’s first major musical project was the trio Stealing Angels with Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Wayne. Her first solo project, The Ranch, released in 2016, was the culmination of a move across the country, addiction, recovery, a lot of hard work, and a dash of her grandmother, Loretta Lynn. She writes and sings her truth about love, healing, motherhood, and the coal dust that runs through her Kentucky veins. Lynn’s album on Heart of Texas Records, 'Tayla Lynn sings Loretta Lynn', is available everywhere! Instagram: @TheCastCollective Twitter: @TheCastCollective About Loretta Lynn: Loretta Lynn has long been established as the undisputed Queen of Country Music, with more than 60 years of recording and touring to her name. A self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Lynn shook up Nashville by writing her own songs which tackled boundary-pushing topics drawn from her own life experiences as a wife and mother. “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Fist City” and “Don’t Come Home A’ Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” are just three of 16 country No. 1 singles. Inducted into more music Halls of Fame than any female recording artist, including The Country Music Hall of Fame & Songwriters Hall of Fame, and was the first woman to be named the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 1972. Lynn received Kennedy Center Honors, a Presidential Medal of Freedom and was named recipient of Billboard’s inaugural Women in Music “Legend” Award. With 18 nominations, Lynn has won four Grammy Awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. She has sold more than 45 million records worldwide. Still Woman Enough, Lynn’s 50th studio album (excluding her 10 collaborations with Conway Twitty) became her latest. In it she celebrates women in country music, including a cover of “Keep On The Sunny Side” and a new interpretation of her very first single, “I’m A Honky Tonk Girl". #lgbtqia #trauma #recovery #podcast #mentalhealth #lifestyle #inspiration #purpose #therapy #selfcare #healing Keywords: trauma, recovery, podcast, mental health, rooted recovery stories, mental health podcast, trauma podcast, anxiety podcast, recovery podcast, coping mechanisms, nashville, domestic violence, trauma, podcast, interview, country music,

Coming off PRIDE week, Cody and Patrick discuss the embodiment of community and the importance of always knowing your neighbors. He dives into the inspiration behind his music and the wisdom he’s learned in not dimming your light for others. Visit https://www.CodyBelew.com/ to get tickets, find Cody's new releases and more! Cody's first full-length record I Did It For Love will release on September 20th - see more about his inspiration for the album below! His next single is titled "Long, Long Row" and will be out on July 19th! The most recent single, "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades," released in May. Cody made a splash at this year's CMT Awards. Attaching our release, which you'll also note links to all of his social accounts/artist profiles! Assembling a mix of candid originals and well-loved classics by artists who inspired him, Cody Belew released his self-titled debut EP in early 2022 via Visionary Media. That same year had Belew reimagining the Brooks & Dunn classic “Neon Moon '' with Grammy Award-winning producer, Dave Audé, which recently surpassed three million Spotify streams. Belew kicked off 2023 as a member of CMT’s coveted “Listen Up” program, which counts Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, and Marren Morris among its alumni, and saw the release of his single “Charlene,” which chronicled his experienced religious trauma as a Southern Baptist within the LGBTQ+ community. His star is rapidly rising with the recent release of the title track “I Did It For Love'' from his debut album due out later this year. A long-time Nashville resident, Cody recently completed a yearlong, sold-out residency at the city’s famed Lipstick Lounge and wowed crowds at the new hotspot The Eighth Room with his impassioned vocals, deft songwriting, and undeniable stage presence. Cody has been highlighted in WWD and Vanity Fair for his distinctive fashion sense and profiled by NBC and Billboard. Cody’s Inspiration for I Did It For Love: “Until the day I moved away from home, pointing my truck toward Nashville with all my belongings in tow, getting to Music City had been my singular mission. Ten years in, and I found myself writing about home, and family ties, and what sacrifices it took to get here. I wrote this with arenas in mind.
