RECAP TIME: After tracking down the two drowned tombs beneath the broken sea, our heroes begin the long sail back to Delnori. But not without a repercussion… or revelation. When their nemesis, Xethir finally showed himself to be impersonating Detrius within the seal sanctum, he killed the captain before our heroes could defeat him. Discovering the real Detrius hidden and unconscious on the ship, Sentinel and Freya nursed him back to health. He then revealed he had gained knowledge from his horrific connection with Xethir, that once Xethir controlled enough of the Surgepyres, he would harness the coming magical surge to forge a vessel for his god, Terranin, the Unbeing, using fragments of his shattered heartstone: the pieces of terror. Meanwhile, Moxie was aware someone was scrying on them, and soon found out their identity Meredith Vollant, Associate Guild Master of the Whispered Word, and she wanted aboard. Ora was also dealing with repercussions from the seal sanctum: the Mark of a cloak moth had appeared on his wrist. And although Freya had removed it, Ora was visited by an apparition of Morduram, Death, and offered a terrible choice: to seize the power of the Moth Coin in exchange for cutting himself off from his deity, Enthor. Enthor proposed something else. The ascendant powers in the Entanglement were rising, Ora must reject the apparition and Enthor once more in the Edge… _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! RECAP TIME: On an adventure with the pirates of the Oddmium Trist, out in the Broken Sea, our heroes searched for the two hidden chambers that were remnants of the drowned city of Zarlumai. Their quarry, the Seal Sanctum, where behind a great door laid divine treasures. Finally finding the Seal Sanctum, first Mate Detrius reveal himself as Xethir, nemesis and herald of the Malignant Domain, hidden by a powerful spell like true polymorph. Although our heroes succeeded in preventing him from him from claiming what lay beyond the great seal, but it wasn’t without injury or loss; the captain of the Oddmium Trist was dead. Beyond the seal, they found a burrowing, a tunnel world between two planes, and deep within was a great tower of glass, a legendary surgepyre built to harness a once in a millennia surge through the magical tides that flowed between worlds. Next to the tower was a hideout carved into the rock where they found a teleportation circle all for themselves. Back on the ship, they broke the news to the crew about the Captain and Detrius, but it wasn’t long before they found the real Detrius, hidden below deck and near death. After Freya and Sentinel nursed Detrius back to health, he revealed he had gained knowledge from his horrific connection with Xethir, that his plan extended beyond seizing the surgepyres. Once Xethir controlled enough of the towers, he would harness the coming surge to forge a vessel for his god, Terranin, the Unbeing, using pieces of his shattered heartstone: the pieces of terror. Meanwhile, Freya and Ora attempted to remove a curse that had appeared on Ora’s arm, a cloak moth, an omen of Morduram, Death. _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! They succeeded, but not without injury and loss. The captain was dead. But as everyone rested and communed with their gods, Ahmaya saw something in the depths of the borrowing beyond the seal… A great glass tower before a nebula of stars. _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! RECAP TIME: Our heroes reunited the fragmented parts of the ancient map and delved into the first of the tombs, Yelanriae, along with the pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist. The voyage was led by Captain Ryse Killid, deathlock of Onru the Labyrinthine, and his only goal was to find a home for his pilgrim god in a secret borrowing that lay beyond a great seal. He was seconded by his First mate, Detrius. As they approached the final tomb, the map offered a warning “your final sacrifice is in bearing the terrible weight of the truth.” The tomb was hidden beneath an island that had been hollowed out, a puzzle embedded within it to hide a teleportation stone. That stone led to a demi-plane of ash and mazes, and atop a hill was a mansion. Leralith met our heroes, a reanimated memory of the sorcerer that created this place and the prison below it, the King’s Hold. Over 40,000 years ago, the Kings Hold was made to entrap Enthor, Ora’s deity, should he be corrupted by the Malignant Domain as he feared. And it had since been repurposed by the Ones Above as a location to hide one of the One Thousand Seals, and to cover up mistakes of the Entanglement’s past. Our heroes delved through the Kings hold, facing reanimated horrors, puzzles and twin obelisks that consumed spells. But through they went, and in the Seal Sanctum, Detrius opened the great sealed door, and revealed himself, hidden by a spell like true polymorph: Xethir. Nemesis, and herald of the Malignant Domain. _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! RECAP TIME: After reuniting the ancient map of Zarlumai, our heroes embarked on a perilous sea journey, guided by Captain Ryse Killid, the odd but the enigmatic Deathlock of Onru who was intent on locating a sealed “burrowing” dimension in the Entanglement for his dark god's sanctuary. Their first stop was Yelanriae, hidden beneath the seabed, its once-preserved chamber now distorted by undeath. After defeating a Loyalist, formerly a Paladin to Enthor, they claimed the Blood Key and a rot pearl for Moxie's spellwork. The final map marker pointed to a mysterious island, forewarning of a heavy sacrifice. The island revealed itself as a hollowed enigma, concealing a polished obsidian portal stone. Upon touching it, the party were transported into a surreal realm: ash, short mazes, skeletal trees and a sprawling mansion, all covered in lithifying ashen snow. They were met by Leralith, the preserved mind of the sorcerer who created this place… the King’s Hold. As they delved into the dark of the King’s hold, they soon found out why. Making it through the entrance, they continued into the misty depths… Making their way to the deepest part of the hold, the Seal Sanctum, Detrius used the blood hkey to unlock the great seal covered a huge doorway. As the seal shattered around them, Detrius revealed himself as Xethir, under the influence of the true polymorph spell and powerful cloaking magics. Xethir made for the opening burrowing beyond the great door, and our heroes attacked. The Captain calling that they must not let him enter the sealed burrowing beyond or it will be forever lost... _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! RECAP TIME: Our heroes had explored one ancient chamber on the map of drowned Zarmulai and now they delved into the second. Their captain, Ryse Killid, A resurrected warlock of the strange deity Onru the labyrinthine, had used his blood to forge the blood key in the first of these chambers, and they believed it would be crucial to finding what lay on the door in the second chamber: the Seal Sanctum. After sailing through a violent storm that claimed one life from the crew, our heroes arrived at the Capstone of the next chamber; a small island, but the way was guarded by a pirate’s puzzle set by whoever hid the route into the chamber itself. After finding the teleportation stone deep in the island, our heroes found themselves in a garden of ash and mazes, and a top a hill was an ash-clotted mansion. They were greeted by a figure that stole the appearance of Amaya’s father, and revealed he was called Leralith, the preserved memories of the sorcerer who created this place. And this place, at least below the mansion, was the Kings Hold, a prison fro Ora’s god Enthor should he be corrupted by the Malignant Domain. They descended to the entrance of the Kings Hold, and Leralith said goodbye, locking them into the courtyard with ten angelic statues, countless desiccated bodies, and an inscription in Celestial: Consume. Consume their chaos, their stars, and souls. Consume their hearts and with it create, endure, and unravel all things. Fallen warriors began reanimating, their hearts forming in hollows and beating black and ultraviolet. Our heroes soon realised the way down into this chamber was far more treacherous than the last… _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast! RECAP TIME: Our heroes had found and explored the first of two ancient chambers with the pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist. Yelanriae, the first tomb was an undead place, submerged under the depths and bedrock of the Broken Sea, where with Killid’s blood they successfully forged the bloody key and escaped to head for the second chamber… the Seal Sanctum. After a long journey, a storm swept over them, one worse than any Captain Killid had ever seen. The Oddmium Trist was ravaged, struck by giant waves and lightning, but our heroes kept the galleon and its crew in one piece. All except Sorel, one of the twins, who was lost in the maelstrom. But after a day of rest – and an excursion into Sentinel’s Patron-domain, the Subtle House – our heroes offloaded themselves from the ship into a small boat and made their way onto the island that capped where they believed the Seal Sanctum to be hidden. On the coves of the island where shipwrecks where Ora found evidence of another pirate crew who were not so lucky, and several hundred years before then. On the island itself there was little, but they soon discovered a hidden cove and a huge stone door the other side of a deep well. after figuring out the puzzle carved into the rock of the island that seemed to be an attempt to hide the entrance into the Seal Sanctum, our heroes found a large, polished black stone behind the stone door. Of course, Ahmaya touched it, and found herself in a world of mist and ash, surrounded by knee-high mazes, a gravel path leading up to and ash-softened manor house of spires and verandas. And walking out the front door, was her father… _____ Welcome to Roll Models, an actual play DnD Video Podcast!
