The show starts a little slow, but that tends to be the case with actual play podcasts. It takes a while for the players to get in the groove and the story to settle in. Around episode 8-9 the story really gets going and I have found it very enjoyable. The show sprinkles in various game systems to resolve specific situations, which is an interesting mechanic and executed well but not my favorite mechanic. Doing this early in the podcast I felt slowed the settling in progress but the players seem to be into it and it is a fun idea. The story told is fun and engaging. The Dungeon World system leads to interesting situations and the players really embrace the story and difficult situations. This is definitely a real play podcast worth checking out.

I want to preface this by saying I love radiant ‘license to kill’ eyre and if you love paladins like I do, you’ll understand. BELIEVE ME, you’ll understand. anyway !! with such a stunning soundtrack & one of the silliest camaraderies you'll have the pleasure of experiencing, rdac is one of the neatest actual play podcasts out there. they have so much fun in enabling bad decisions and i love that !! zach is a WONDERFUL gm & all the players are ALWAYS ready to escalate conflicts. to any potential listener: how do you feel about suspicious moon content ?? and fancy gala politics ?? what about fantasy skrillex, hm ?? go ahead, download these episodes, you'll never be quite prepared for what happens next—and that's the fun part. here we are, on the shoulders of giants, and we still have a lot more to go. :)

I am so thankful for coming across the random reddit post that pointed me toward this show! All the players are amazing and bring the characters to life effortlessly. Also the collective world building between the players and the GM is some of most creative and unique I’ve ever come across. Can’t wait to see what will happen next and how season one wraps up!

I listen to easily 10 to 15 podcasts but this is the only one that I binged all the way through without stopping even for schoolwork. The mixture of genders, orientations, personalities, and ideas that make up both the cast of the podcast and the cast of the Titans make you fall in love with them again and again every week. They are as close to perfection as possible, and that's without Zach, who is the DM I aspire to be for my own party. All my love to the continued success of the rdacast <3

I love actual-play podcasts and Roll Dice and Cry is the cream of the crop, outclassing the titans of the genre like Critical Role and Adventure Zone by far in terms of story and player quality. The setting is a refreshing take on fantasy, a breath of fresh air with new takes on classic fantasy elements. Where other settings feel dull or barely distinguishable from each other, this setting is beautifully new, giving a sense of excitement whenever any new detail is brought up. In addition to having a great setting, characterization and interactions by the players is on point. Characters are fun yet frustrating, perfect in their flaws. The players are willing to go against their best interest to fit characterization, and do things that frustrate them personally to stay in character and play the best way possible. The voice quality is great. DM ObfuscatingGod's voice is absurdly handsome and charming, which combined with his excellent writing (particularly in the intro segments) makes for an amazing narrative experience. Also, I can definitely appreciate the very diverse cast of characters and players. If you only have time to keep up with 1 story-driven podcast, let it be this one.

Each week I've been excitedly waiting for these guys to update and it's worth it every time. The podcast is just so fun. All the characters are great, and the DM is too. It already went somewhere I wasn't expecting and it just started, but now I'm even more excited for where it's going to go from here. I can't wait to see these wonderful characters and the world they're in develop.

It's just two of us? That's weird. Anyway this is a great pod.
