Finding Power in Community w/ Mike Brancatelli

Brancatelli has been a recurring guest, this is his third appearance on the RPG podcast.

The new COVID-19 variant made Brancatelli feel tired and achy for a couple of days, but fortunately he was able to overcome it quickly.

Patton recently attended a men’s retreat that was co directed by Brancatelli.

Brancatelli is part of an organization called, ‘Sacred Sons’.

Becoming more well rounded emotionally and strengthening brotherhood are some of the important values of the organization.

Personal transformation around the age of twelve or thirteen is very prevalent in ancient and modern tribes.

Patton identifies with the lover and warrior archetype.

Many people can feel reborn after a psychedelic experience, but the key is to be able to hold onto the feeling long term.

“You have to put in the work, you have to participate.” (Brancatelli)

After about three years of performing stand up comedy, Brancatelli decided to leave to pursue something new.

Patton and Brancatelli are inspired by Aubrey Marcus’s work ethic and persistence to manifest his ideas.

The overexposure of digital media is a very common problem for most people.

“Having fun is healing.” (Brancatelli)

Patton covers what it feels like losing out on a deal.

For the most part, Brancatelli stays away from political commentary.

There has always been corruption, but you have to build and focus on what you have control over.

“What the fuck is the news?” (Brancatelli)

Everyone is influenced by others whether we think so or not.

Joe Rogan thinks that time travel would ruin everything.

“We can invent whatever reality we want.” (Brancatelli)

Patton reads, plays the piano and practices speaking Spanish to build neuroplasticity.

Twice a day, Patton meditates for at least ten minutes to build focus and improve sleep.

Doing an ice bath is often more mental than physical.

Brancatelli is taking a supplement called, Calm. It is rich in magnesium and can be blended into tea.

‘Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism’ by Chögyam Trungpa is one of the books that Brancatelli wants to reread.

Brancatelli plans to lead more men’s retreats in the near future.

Patton plans on attending another retreat with Brancatelli very soon.
