Diving is in as a beginner
I’m just beginning my MYOG journey and have found this podcast incredibly helpful especially the episodes with Matt from Red Paw. One show idea I’d love to hear: an overview of the technical fabrics currently available from Ripstop by the Roll. As I’ve listened to past episodes, I’ve picked up lots of great nuggets about fabrics you’ve used for specific projects, but it would be amazing to hear a big-picture breakdown of what’s available, the best use cases for each fabric, and what you personally reach for in different applications. For someone browsing the website and not quite sure what to buy, an episode like that would be incredibly helpful.

Smart, practical, entertaining
This is one of the few podcasts I’ve ever heard that’s fun without being in any way frivolous. The topics and questions are well thought out and hit a huge range of needs and abilities. In many cases, it’s info you simply can’t get anywhere else. If you’re in any way sewing or gear adjacent, this is just a must listen.

MYOG Pretty good to Great
It is so great have a resource of real MYOG learners. This pod is not presented in a “I know how to do it…so do this” kind or format. Rather it is from real life trials and learning from mistakes. This pod makes a community of MYOGers accessible at a distance. Thanks to you Rippers, It’s so helpful to hear the successes and failures as I am on my MYOG journey!!

Awesome
I don’t know why it took me a year to get around to listening to podcast episodes, but it’s great. Good hosting, great energy and all around nice to listen to while writing, working, driving or making.

Thank you, RBTR!
If I say that I’ve listened to each episode of Ripstop on the Record once through, it would be a lie. I listen ALL the time. Seriously. All. The. Time. On. Repeat. They’re always on when I’m sewing. So I’ve been through each episode multiple times - one right after another. It doesn’t matter that I’ve heard them all before. I’m going to just keep on listening. Here are just a few of the reasons I continue to listen to ROTR on repeat: 1. I have learned more than I ever thought I would or could about technical fabrics and how to work with them. Denier, tear strength, tensile strength, hydrostatic head, warp and weft are terms I’d never heard before. I’m not an expert by any stretch. For sure. But I do feel just a little more informed and competent because of the team at RBTR.
 2. They have taught me so much about making as a process. Jameson, Carter, and the rest of the RBTR team as well as “guests of the pod” have shared so many invaluable lessons about making. They’re always sharing tips about how to best use and what to look for in machines, notions, construction techniques, and so much more.
 3. They’ve helped me to believe in myself as a maker and, without even knowing, inspired me to get the gears in motion for creating my own cottage company.
 4. They’ve brought such humanity and humor to the entire MYOG space as undeniable exemplars for what the larger community should be like. So thanks to everyone, past and present at RBTR as well as guests of the pod for keeping those wheels turning: Jameson, Carter, Kyle, Jason, Avery, Isaac, and by extension: Matt, Francesca, Dan, and Ryan. You’re all the best!

The best MYOG podcast there is
I’ve been listening to Ripstop on the Record since the very start of my MYOG journey and it’s hands down the best! I have learned so much and have been continuously inspired through listening. It’s the only podcast where I listen to EVERY SINGLE episode. I’ve been a listener for years and the topics, guests, and production quality keeps getting better. The authenticity, humor, and passion of the hosts is fantastic and I’m grateful for their willingness to share with the community. Whether you’re a new or seasoned maker, this show has something to offer. Keep up the great work! 🤘🏼

Literally googled “how to leave an apple podcast review” to leave this
I’ve been working through the back catalogue of this podcast and am enjoying it so much! I’m a baby MYOGer and it’s so helpful to have the deep dives on subjects all of people take for granted, like basics about technical fabrics and insulation. I also love when they have guests - other makers or cottage company owners - who bring a fun perspective.

Expert advice from Experts
So nice to have someone who really knows what they are talking about do the talking. For some reason that’s seems to be harder to find now.

Your the Best
Seriously love this podcast! Already loved purchasing materials from y’all but then hearing your personalities through this podcast made me love you more. Finding out all the fun and tech details about fabrics and hearing your thoughts on how to put them to use helps make some of the materials seem less intimidating to try out. My brain is overflowing now with DIY ideas!
