Ep. 9: Rebelling against shame & healing it in our lives with Katie Gilbertson @ShameRebel
What do Rima, low self-esteem and nervous laughing have in common? You got that right: SHAME.  This episode is all about SHAME. It's dedicated to all of us who have fallen in the battle of shame over the years, whether that's shame for our looks, shame for our sexuality, shame for our background, shame for our dreams, shame for our actions... And because I wanted it to be a perfect celebration of shame, this SHAME-less party was honoured by Katie Gilbertson. Katie is the creator of the Shame Rebel Podcast, she's a licensed mental health professional and a women's advocate. Katie's work focuses on boundaries, shame, self-esteem, relationships and trauma. Her private practice is a safe space for all genders, sexual orientations, and ethnicities, where she supports people to break out of their own shame, suffering and limitations. In this episode, we explored the different shades of shame, what it looks like, how it's internalized, how we project it and how it manifests in our lives. In both our individual and professional work, shame has been a key aspect we worked with. We hope this discussion is helpful to you and it supports you in building a more authentic relationship with yourself and those around you. Ep.8: How healing happens: Bulldozing our way through pain & healing
This year feels like I am a bit out of breath from all the healing I've had to do. Anyone in the same boat?  If you're thinking "That's not me. I don't have anything to heal", then this episode is not really for you. But it might be if you want to learn about healing, and maybe then reconsider where you stand on the healing journey.  When it comes to pain, we all have a desire to just get past it. We're wired to want this! And in an attempt to just get through it some of us suppress pain, others are in the denial period they have any pain at all, others just push through and take on a bunch of practices as a way to fasten the process.  Most of us haven't been raised to know how to heal, and how to do it kindly.  So in this episode more about how healing happens, what it involves, aspects to consider about pain, how to go about healing and many more things. If you'd like to dive more with me on this topic and have an introspective process with your own pain, I invite you to be my virtual guest.  Sit with me, reflect with me and heal with me, dear human.  Also, let me know how it's going for you.  If you want to put a face to my voice, you're invited to connect with me here: Instagram: @rimarkable.me Facebook: www.facebook.com/rimarkable.me Youtube: https://tinyurl.com/48uw9smx Website: https://www.rimarkable.me/

Ep.7: Redesigning our lives: Where do we begin? with Anima @The Sophisticated Geek
Hello, RIMARKABLE HUMAN! This week's episode has been something I had on my list of topics for quite a while. I was hesitant in recording this by myself, as I believe when it comes to Life Design, it's best to learn with and from others.  So in my search for someone, I could discuss this topic with I came across Anima. Anima is a media artist and 2 times business owner, currently, she owns a small values-first PR Agency named The Sophisticated Geek, and Vitruvian Vision- an NGO challenging the idea of what we should teach young people as they grow up.  Anima's story stood out through the resilience she has in navigating different industries, such as tech, art, business and media with a disability. Upon my first interaction, I felt there's a certain depth that I wanted to have a window into, and luckily, Anima accepted to have a discussion with me. In this episode, we explore topics such as identity, challenges, self-knowing, social constraints and how our environments shape us, all through the lens of Anima's story and insights. It beautifully encompasses the rawness of our human nature and life challenges, uncovering more about what stands at the foundation of life design. The conversation has been enriching to me, and I hope you will enjoy it too. Ep.6: How to deal with fear when you're working on something greater than yourself
A symptom we have before we pursue something big is fear. It can haunt us and leave us frozen. Soon enough we go round and round over all the reasons why it can go wrong, what are the risks involved, and before we even know it, we talk ourselves out of them. Big changes are scary, and most of the time we never feel ready to just do it. In this podcast, I explored more of the things that come up when we consider doing something new, something greater than what we've done before. I talked through some of my personal experiences and some of the perspectives that help me keep things in check and push myself off the couch. Whilst we may be talking about fear for days, the most important bit I want you to remember is that whether in fear or not, your decisions and actions are like a vote to where you want to be heading in your tomorrow, and in your life. Enjoy it!

Ep.5: Becoming the main character of your life | Putting yourself on top of your to-do list with Claudia Sam
If you're a busy bee running around with a never-ending to-do list (like myself), then this one's for you. In this episode, I've had Claudia Sam as a guest. Claudia is a Soul Connection Coach. She supports driven women to get out of survival mode, find their sense of purpose and get unstuck from the unfulfilling routine. Using her Tune-In Method, she's here to help others clarify their path to purpose, connect to their own inner guide, have a healthy work/life balance and trust themselves fearlessly. Claudia and I have explored more about the different elements that contribute to us not prioritizing ourselves, how the transition towards putting yourself first happens, and the challenges along the way. There is definitely so much more to add, but most importantly is: this is a unique journey. There's no bad or wrong, it's just you being your healthiest and content self that matters. Now, this has happened via zoom, so please be forgiving with the quality of different audio bits. I am working on making it better. Ep.4: The 3 main reasons why we feel stuck
The state of feeling stuck is one of the most often described feelings in my 1:1 work. Familiar to many, I thought I would touch on the key reasons why people usually experience this feeling and what are some ways to get out of the different types.

Ep.3: How to create and manifest your best life with Jamie @the.whitewalls
Hi there, human! For a long time, I wondered how manifestation works, and what similarities it has with my work (hypnotherapy + coaching). So for Mental Health Awareness Month, I sat with Jamie- a Manifestation and Mindset Coach and the heart behind The White Walls to really dive into the intersection of the many concepts that exist in coaching. I got to know what manifestation is, listened to Jamie's story, and explored with her more about the practices that manifestation involves. If you'd like to hear more about manifestations and the power of the mind, press play and join us.  You can find: Jamie: https://www.instagram.com/the.whitewalls/ Rima (the host): https://www.instagram.com/rimarkable.me/

Ep.2: The black hole of self help & accepting we are flawed
In this episode, I reflect on the "self-growth and betterment" culture and how that can become unhealthy in coming to peace with our flaws and our wounds. I explore the "hiding under the rug" phenomenon and discuss how we often fall prey to the never-ending betterment and healing cycle that makes us lose sight that life happens now, as we go. If you'd like to hear more of this soul reflection, you are invited to press play and join me in my monologue. In gratitude, Rima

Ep.1: You can't Google-fix all your life problems
How many times a day do you Google to answer your daily questions? How many times have you googled your symptoms? How many times have you struggled with something profoundly emotional or psychological and have found your ultimate solutions on google?  In this episode, I explore more of why many times actually Google isn't the solution to our problems and how, in fact, it can help us get stuck in an unpleasant cycle for longer.
