This weeks mix is  by Simon Bradbury, the Top Dog at Trax Radio UK, we call him The Guvnor!  Here he talks about his background;A bit about me......Started DJing in 1989 on a pair of old Soundlab belt drives and a Realistic mixer in my bedroomBy 1990 had secured a local pub for weekly "Disco" nights, played a lot of venues around Stoke doing just normal "dance around the handbag" nightsContinued doin that until about 1995 then decided i'd had enough, i basically found the Madchester and Britpop scene a couple of years earlier so became engrossed in that.Took a verrry long sabbatical of 10 years and decided i'd give it another shot playing Northern Soul & Motown nights in and around Stoke with quite a bit of success and a little following. Northern Soul & Motown will always be where my heart isDid that until 2012 when my day job became too busy and was unable to commit to gig bookings so again i went on a sabbatical. In 2018 i thought i'd have another bash, got myself a little Pioneer controller and strted playing about in the kitchenGot invited to play on Essential Clubbers and that was my first taste in radioStarted listening to Shane Hughes from Awesome 3 playing Breakbeat on a Friday night on this cool station Trax Radio UKI started to fall im love with breaks and luckily Gav who ran the station was looking for new DJ's so i applied and got in!!2 years later i am now the owner of Trax Radio UK and it is bigger than ever!Started to go out mobile again in and around Stoke in early 2022 doing "Dance around ya handbag" nights and Northern Soul Nights, again with great successAlso arranging and promoting Trax Radio UK club nights.....its all VERY exciting and im loving having music a part of my life in a big way again :-)

Originally from the UK, Nikki grew up dancing in the clubs of the Midlands and London in the early 1990's when the house music scene was starting to peak.Fast forward a few years and Nikki emigrated to Melbourne where she took up professional DJ lessons and started playing publicly and professionally around the city and the Bellarine Peninsula. Depending on the venue Nikki plays a subtle blend of Soulful, Funky, Jackin, Nu Disco, Techno and Classic House. Nikki loves a remix and a gospel vocal, mixing old anthems with new tracks.Utilising her extensive knowledge of house music, Nikki has been a resident NYE DJ for one of her favourite speakeasy bars in Williamson, Peachy Keen for the last 3 years. She has played at numerous venues on Chapel street including Abacus, Smitten Kitten and Three Monkeys.
