Thrashpondo Pons, the talented and highly knowledgeable YouTube personality, is the final Retro-Pal interview before our long-awaited RetroPalooza reunion in mid-July. "Thrash" is pure entertainment. He’s not only a gifted aficionado of all things pop-culture and retro-nostalgic, but in my humble opinion, he’s also a force of nature in the personality department. Just check out his YouTube channel, and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
Have you heard any great dad jokes lately? His one-liner lists are hilarious, not just because they’re funny, but because his squeaky-clean comedic timing and delivery make them even funnier!
Enjoy this interview with one of my favorite people on the planet, and hear Thrashpondo Pons’s takes on his favorite TV shows from the classic decades of the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Be sure to check out Thrashpondo’s YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@thrashpondopons8348

support by liking and subscribing.
Please be sure to join us on the Dave Sundstrom YouTube channel on july 15th (tentatively) for the first reunion of RetroPalooza for 2024.

Barry King is the longtime host of the popular radio show "B.K. on the Air". The show can be found on WBHF radio out of Cartersville, Georgia. Today Barry joins us to talk about this fun retro-nostalgic show which has been airing for years every Saturday morning from 10am to noon. We discuss our creative past when I had a small segment on the show, as well as how (we think) we met. Seems like I've known Barry all my life but in reality he and I have never even met personally. You most certainly would not have been able to tell that had I not mentioned it. We're cut from the same mold.
Hear Barry's pics of his favorite classic TV shows from the 1950s through the 80s. Just like last week with Dave Sundstrom, fellow "Retro Pal" Barry has some distinct, high quality tastes when it comes to this subject, so enjoy this interview with the "Host with the Most" Mr. Barry King from B.K. on the Air"!

I used to tell folks that listening to Dave is like taking a vacation from the world, which would likely explain his immense popularity! I believe after hearing this conversation and
exploring his channel, you will likely agree. You’ll also hear about Dave’s favorite two TV series from each of the classic TV decades, beginning with the 1950s through the 80s. Enjoy!

The Emmy nominated actress Naomi Grossman has worked with some of the biggest names in show business. Many of the millions of fans of the anthology series, “American Horror Story” feel her performance as “Pepper” ranked right alongside her fellow, and there were a few, major “breakout actors” in the series, e.g. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters among others.
Ironically, rather than horror or heavy drama which she's obviously mastered, it’s actually comedy where Grossman really excels! Having been a former member of the highly regarded Groundlings comedic troupe comes as no surprise while viewing her hilarious comedic shorts on her YouTube channel. Not only that, she writes and performs critically acclaimed, one woman shows.
Her most current “American Whore Story”, has garnered much critical acclaim, rave reviews, and sold-out venues as she continues her run of performances across the nation and even around the world!
Be sure to check out AmericanWhoreStory.com and become part of Naomi’s social media communities. You’ll find the links below. If your in Boston on the weekend of march 7th through the ninth of 2023, you’ll have the opportunity to see her in action both with her beloved fans at the North Eastern Comicon and on stage in her American Whore Story show.

She's a talent from a family of talent.
Barbra Streisand's little sister, Roslyn Kind, has not been idle during the pandemic, producing and releasing songs such as “Save the Country,” “Light of Love,” “It Only Takes a Moment: Kiss He Now.” Now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Roslyn Kind has realized a dream of combining two hits, “Look of Love” and “The Island,” resulting in a medley that celebrates love in all its forms, while re-enforcing the beliefs that love can be found at any age. Roslyn is proud and excited to offer a very special 6 minute video short, in which she stars and served as producer.
It was wonderful getting to know her and hearing how up and vivacious she really is! Check out her new video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcOjifCI16o

Hey gang!
Here's a bit of a different type of interview for me, but I found it SO interesting AND incredibly worthwhile. While processing the episode's audio, it dawned on me (like a ton of bricks!) that MY own boy and girl fall inside the age range of the kids "Doors of Change" is working so hard to help! It's one thing to conduct an interview/conversation with the Founder and President of the organization, Mr. Jeffrey Sitcov, but to be able to go back and listen, as in this case, has REALLY touched me! Hits home.
As Jeffrey says, they don't offer "a hand-out, but a hand up." Such a great quote. I hope you'll consider offering a tax-deductible donation to this absolutely worthy cause. We did. Here are the links I promised, and if you're in or around San Diego on July 27th, go to the Concert for Hope and "Do a little dance, make a little love, and save a kid that night"!

USA TODAY: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/12/15/homelessness-in-america-grew-2023/71926354007/#
Here’s a few names you just may recognize singing their praises!
"Doors of Change, keep up the good work that you do. My heart goes out to all of you and the youth that benefits from your efforts. Your use of art and music programs to reach and encourage homeless youth is inspired. You should be proud that your successful efforts in San Diego have been recognized and are being used in other cities across the country.”— America's Happiest TV Mom, Marion Ross (Happys Days / Brooklyn Bridge / Gilmore Girls and former San Diego Resident)
In the last year, the number of homeless youth has increased considerably. Today, more than ever before, the stress of being a teenager can be too overwhelming, too confusing and too many find themselves on our streets trying to survive. Doors of Change has discovered a unique way to connect with them, through music and art programs that have not only been saving lives, but taken our young from hopeless to hopeful. Offering more than food and shelter, they build self esteem and respect for themselves and others.— America's Most Off Beat Dysfuntional TV Mom, Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle / Pleasantville)
To be a teenager is hard enough. Hormones raging, identity crises, parents who know NOTHING, but to be a homeless teenager is a scar on all our hearts. Every child, every teen, is our responsibility. We must keep them safe and the earth solid beneath their feet, until they have found their place in this world.— America's most respected TV Mom, Michael Learned (The Waltons)
A shout out to Doors of Change. How wonderful it is to have an organization that offers a light in the dark to guide youth towards self-esteem and self-worth. Your approach to reinforcing positive attitudes and images towards ones self and others is exactly what our youth needs to face and replace the uncertainty and fear they may have of the future.— TV & Film Mom, Dee Wallace (The New Lassie / ET: The Extra-Terrestrial)
At an early age, my parents instilled in me the importance of arts to inspire and enhance our lives. I imagine that your use of art and music programs to connect with homeless youth is exactly why you have been so successful at reaching the thousands of our young who have become lost. May the rest of the country follow your lead, so that we can reach the millions still out there.— America's Most Established TV Mom, June Lockhart (Lassie / Lost In Space)

I add an epilogue to my Anson Williams interview as I kept my promise to him that I would get his book, "Singing to a Bulldog" and read it. I am SO glad I did! Friends I can't recommend it enough. (readily available on Amazon) I know I've said that plenty of times regarding other celeb memoires, but believe me this is something special. I read it in three days and now I am going to read it again. 'Nuff said? He hit it out of the park.
Also I talk about who or what has killed The Golden RAGE of TV YouTube channel. I'm obviously the "who or what". I explain exactly why this 11-year long labor of love is being shall we say, discontinued. Not shut off mind you but, you get it. I also elaborate on my future plans to create fresh and new content (videos) and possibly a whole new brand/channel based on ALL of American nostalgia, including classic films. Stay tuned!

Anson Williams is a legendary talent, most recognized for his portrayal of Potsie Weber on the beloved classic TV series "Happy Days." This iconic actor, director, philanthropist, politician, and entrepreneur joins us to discuss the upcoming celebration of the landmark show’s 50th anniversary!
Anson and I delve into the wonderful aspects surrounding this Garry Marshall-created television masterpiece. We explore how Marshall helped everyone keep their egos in check when it seemed they had become the biggest, most popular phenomenon on the planet.
He asserts that Garry’s guidance and innovative thinking, such as the Happy Days Softball team, played a crucial role in creating lifelong friendships that persist to this day. The ironclad camaraderie forged helped them all secure a permanent place in American Television history.
We also touch upon Anson’s significant creative contributions as a producer and director of various TV series and stage shows, including the highly acclaimed one he’s currently involved in. "Crazy Mama" stars General Hospital’s Carolyn Henesey and is set to debut in 2024!
Be sure to check out the production of "Crazy Mama" when it makes its debut in New York, and hopefully at an off-Broadway venue. Follow Anson at https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=anson%20williams.
You can find the link to pick up Anson’s book, "Singing to a Bulldog," here: https://www.amazon.com/Singing-Bulldog-Hollywood-Director-Unlikely.
