Josh’s interview with Simon Critchley was great. An insightful conversation that also captured the humanity of the topic (suicide and meaning).

I confess I haven’t left a review before now. And I do like beer, but I’m not doing this for free beer. I like listening to Josh because he knows how to celebrate other people’s brilliance without losing his own perspective. As someone not well versed in many of these themes, I feel like this is where I can be introduced to these concepts without my brain exploding.

Wonderful and insightful all the way through. Thoroughly and profoundly deconstructed. The host completely captured me when he shared asking his wife if she would object to his painting his finger nails black so that he could show up as an open and affirming Pastor. she did not object and he does.

A must listen!

Josh is an incredible host! This podcast features a diverse group of guests and consistently offers honest, engaging, and challenging conversations.

I’ve listened to Josh for a long time now and his podcast has become one of my favorites. I love how open and honest he is. The guests are fantastic! This podcast really gives me hope for Christianity and exploring things that are not free to do in other circles.

Josh and his guests do an amazing job at going into detail, but also making the topics easily comprehensible for those like myself who aren’t experts.

This is a great resource for folks wanting to know more about the wisdom tradition within Christianity, and about what it looks (and feels) like to be authentic and transparent about ones own spiritual journey.

I found the Rethinking Faith podcast several years ago and I’ve been subscribed ever sense! As someone who grew up in Evangelical culture and went through the process of “deconstruction,” I was thankful for a podcast dedicated to “reconstruction” and helping folks re-build a healthier faith grounded in our mind, body, and spirit. Josh and Greg are smart, kind, funny, humble and genuine. I am thankful for their leadership and insight as we walk this journey of faith together!

Every time I tune into this podcast I walk away thing about something at a deeper level. Sometimes it’s self reflection, sometimes it’s theological, and it’s always deep and worth while. Rethinking Faith has really allowed a safe place for me too explore different ideas of faith while strengthening some that I already have. The hosts have a way of welcoming you into the show almost as a participant in the discussion rather than just a listener. I know we haven’t all had great experiences with church but Rethinking Faith let’s you have all the good stuff without the negative experiences or putting anyone down. They meet you where you’re at and accept you for who you are!

I have listened to this podcast in its many forms over the past few years, and it just keeps getting better! Love having Greg as a new co-host too. I just listened to the new episode with Professor Carmen Butcher …. Oh my! I could listen to her talk for hours. 🥰 Best episode - this conversation blessed me so much. Thank you!! More people & podcasts are talking these days about the things Jesus taught (in the 4 gospels), but there are a few of his teachings that almost never get serious coverage. Several references (EXCLUDING the “rich young ruler”) are made in Luke about selling all of one’s possessions & giving to the poor and then this teaching is shown to be taken seriously by the time we get to the book of Acts (end of chapters 2 & 4). Another powerful & often neglected paradigm-changing (IF taken at face value) teaching of Jesus is found in Mt. 6:24; Lk. 16:13-14). This has been called the “Two Masters teaching”, one being God/Love and the other/opposite one being money. Take a leap of faith and dive deep into these teachings! ✌🏼

My husband referred me to this podcast a few months ago and it’s been really encouraging to listen to. I am in the midst of my shift to more progressive Christianity, so hearing both hosts’ perspectives and also the guests’ is so helpful! Thanks for having the courage to have open and honest discussions on tough topics! Keep doing good work!

It’s so refreshing to hear authentic opinions and relevant topics. I can feel the passion behind this project & the desire to do good both by the hosts and the guests. I pray this continues to develop and grow and help people. I’m grateful to have found this and to know I’m not alone.

I enjoy listening to this podcast-it is interesting to hear the perspectives. I am not a Calvinist (anymore) so it is interesting to have Andy on to bring that to the show.

This really is a solid podcast. Sports, the Church, humor, and just plain real talk. Josh and Andy are two good dudes. They don’t always agree either, which adds to how truly informative and great this podcast is. I can’t say enough how good this is.

This show does an amazing job of bridging the seemingly ever-widening gap between the reformed theological tradition, and The emerging church. It’s so very encouraging to hear the mutual respect in Josh and Andy’s conversations. I am always blessed by these guys digging deeper for the truth! Check out this podcast!
