The hard bump on my head, the water, the lack of oxygen, and the climb were exhausting. Everything turned black again. I was out. Really out.

My dream stopped, but I didn’t wake right away. I was out.

Some dreams don't last long enough.

I walked around the small cluster of buildings. All the windows had been blocked shut permanently with concrete. There was only one doorway, and it had no door. Still cold, I decided to take a look inside.

The wind, the waves, and the storm had exhausted my strength. I cuddled up next to the structure hoping for shelter against the storm. I was cold, wet, and in the dark. I thought I’d never get to sleep, but I did. I woke in my own bed, trying to remember the details of my dream and wondering how to continue. I wonder what I’ll dream tonight and if the building on the rock will still be there when, and if, I return.

Well, I thank God it's Friday. It was a good day to be alive. It would've been a good day to die, too. It's all good as long as I continue to trust and believe in my good God.
