My Kind of Podcast
In a world rich in volume and variety of podcasts, few stand out like those published in the Relatively Geeky Network. It’s always reliably entertaining, informative, and just plain fun. Whether it’s the Professor, Em, or any of their rock star cohosts, you’re sure to feel right at home with them.

Relatively--no, absolutely brilliant!
Professor Alan is a terrific host for a terrific host of comic book podcasts. There's bound to be some you'll love, and you might love them all! When his progeny Em gets in the mix, it's always a bonus.

New listener
I’ve recently started listening to this podcast and it’s a blast. 6 episodes in two or three days, and I’m digging through the archives. The quarter bin is a fun show with good variety. The host is engaging and knowledgeable, plus adds moments of humor.

Not Experts, But Definitely Awesome
What a great network and everything is well worth listening to. While things like the Quarterbin and Comics Reading Journal might be the most frequent, I think it's probably the Shortbox Showcase that I enjoy the most where the father and daughter duo team up to do some pretty great dives into some pretty awesome topics. Well worth subscribing to.

Edifying and Entertaining Breakdown of Comics -- Old and New
Professor Alan and his crew have put together a gem of a comics-focused podcast that bounces across eras, publishers, titles and characters. Some are books I read in the '70s and '80s, others are ones I passed over at the local comic shop. Regardless, each episode has me recalling the smell of old comics and savoring the joy of recollecting their stories and adventures. It's a definite and permanent addition to my podcasting rotation.

QUARTER COMICS~!
I rather enjoy podcasts where folks talk about comics that are super cheap and otherwise forgettable but aren't always appreciated. The Quarter Bin Podcast hits that spot for me. Rather enjoyable...

Relatively Awesome!
Professor Alan and Emily do a wonderful job serving up a trio of podcasts that hit me in my sweet spots. Cheap comics, Check! Old comics, Check! Themed episodes, Check! Always look forward to the newest Quarter Bin, Shortbox Showcase, and the sometimes elusive Uncovering the Bronze Age. Probably goes without saying, but their rapport is wonderful. One of my very favorites.

A grand addition!
The Relatively Geeky Podcasts are a fantastic addition to the comic book podcast community. Alan and Emily are great podcasters who also actively and enthusiastically support other comic book podcasts. Alan has a great concept with The Quarter Bin and Emily offers her interesting insights on the Bronze Age. Then, like a team-up of superheros, they come together to form the Shortbox Showcase. What's not to like?

Awesome!
It was cool to listen to your interview with Paul. I will certainly check out Long Box Graveyard. I don’t actively collect comics, but story telling is super interesting to me. It was great to hear his take on the business end of things. I also thought that Professor Alan (the host) did a good job at keeping things moving. He was engaging and genuinely interested in speaking with his guest.

Fascinating concept and interesting material
I love the ‘family of shows’ concept for a podcast. The Relatively Geeky Network is actually a group of three rotating shows, with the common theme of comics. As an old school DC comics fan myself this podcast, and the father - daughter hosting team have quickly become must listens for me.

Love The Quarter Bin!!!
I recently found TheQuarter Bin Podcast through a promo I heard on another podcast and it peaked my curiosity. It only took one episode to hook me! Great premise, great choices in books, great format and great host. I'll be listening to the podcast as long as long as they keep recording new episodes!

A Grab Bag of Pure Comics Joy!
I love this podcast! Or should I say, these podcasts? Professor Alan and daughter Emily cover a wide variety of comics, from the classics to the Bronze Age, with solid synopses, insightful reviews, and thought-provoking commentary. The two come from very different perspectives and different generations, which in itself adds interest to the podcasts. I approach Relatively Geeky as a kind of anthology of random items of interest. When I listen to Emily digging around in the Bronze Age and bringing her perspectives as a sociologist to bear on those comics, I have hope for newer generations of comics fans, and when I listen to Professor Alan randomly taking on comics from discount bins, I can't help but smile at the nostalgic rush I get. Add in the Shortbox Showcase, and I never know what I'm going to get, but I know it's going to be fun to listen along. Very highly recommended for comics fans of all ages.

Love all the shows!
Came to this family of shows (pun intended) by way of another podcast where Emily was invited to participate. Since then I've subscribed to the feed and started from the beginning. I have grown to love all the shows and the hosts show their appreciation and love for comics. Keep up the good work and I'll keep listening.

Spectacular Show!
I recently discovered the family of podcasts that comprise the Relatively Geeky Network. I was immediately hooked. Professor Allen and his daughter Emily discuss the issues, story lines, and characters with a true appreciation for the medium. I eagerly await each new episode of Quarter Bin, Short Box Showcase, and Bronze Age. The podcast reminds me exactly why I have remained a comic book fan for over 30 years.

Love the Quarter Bin Podcast!!
I'm really digging the Quarter Bin Podcast! The summaries are well done and really paint the picture. The commentary is insightful and entertaining. This show has tapped into some kind of zeitgeist with the peek into comics history, the random nature of issues, the brevity, and Professor Alan's delivery!! I look forward to each new episode!!

Excellent show!
Shortbox Showcase and The Quarter Bin Podcast are two of my top of stack podcasts. Professor Alan and Emily keep things entertaining and interesting. I am missing Uncovering the Bronze Age but I have plenty to listen too keeping up with the other two shows. Keep em coming.

The Good Professor Knocks It Out of the Park!
All of the Relatively Geek Podcasts are enjoyable but my personal favorite is Professor Alan's Quarter-Bin Podcast. The reason for that is because he generally discusses comics which vastly precede my experience with collecting and thus he can offer perspective on what that comic book meant to him when he first read it all those years ago as well as take a fresh look at the book today. Plus, he maintains a constant stream of witty remarks and intelligent insights into his subject matter that isn't as common to comic book podcasts as you might first assume.
In short, Professor Alan and his loyal sidekick Emily are off to a fine start and I, for one, can't wait to see where they take their shows in the months and years to come. Bravo!

Awesome -- and right in my wheelhouse
Prof Alan and Emily form a father/daughter podcasting team unlike any other. This podcast is actually a "Three-in-One" with Prof Alan and Emily each having their own solo titles, and then a crossover title. You know, like Action Comics, Detective Comics, and World's Finest. And if you understand how those three titles might apply to this podcast, then this podcast is, indeed, for you.
I truly enjoy their banter as they host the Shortbox Showcase together, bring their perspective on general topics like reboots and alternate universes. Uncovering the Bronze Age is Emily's solo title, which digs into DC Comics from the late 70s and early 80s -- which is made all the more interesting in that they are all from before she was even born! The title that brought me in was The Quarter Bin Podcast, in which Prof Alan reviews comics and random. Well, almost at random -- they have to be in his collection and they have to be in his collection because he got them for less than a quarter. It is a lot of fun.

Good fun, interesting, and I'm a little bit jealous!
I always wondered what it would be like if my daughter was as big a comic book geek as I am. Now I know! I'm an old silver/bronze age DC fan, and it's fun hearing two different points of view on the subject. I also enjoy Alan's 'thrifty' finds!

Excellent stuff inside.
Fantastic comic book discussions inside! Don't hesitate to jump into this fine bunch of shows and enjoy. Prof. Alan and Co. don't disapoint.

Podcasts about comic books? Unheard of on the internet!!!
Professor Alan and his daughter Emily cover a broad spectrum of comic book history with random reviews of cheap comics to discussions of Bronze age books, all with an eye towards fun. The generations dynamic they have is engaging and all the shows are well worth checking out. Great stuff!

Fun shows!
If you are looking for a nice little variety of shows to listen to, this is the place to look. All the shows are a delight to listen to, and I highly recommend them to any fan of superhero comics.

Fun new podcasts!
Prof. Alan and his daughter Emily host some fun podcasts. She hosts an entertaining podcast looking at the Bronze Age, the comic book era of my teens, and Alan does a fun review of comic book issues he paid only a quarter for.
