[00:00:08] Paul: In studying successful entrepreneurs, I found three pillars of success. One was the mindset. Another was taking care of themselves physically and nutritionally. Third was business multi multifaceted. All you need to do is find one recipe for success. [00:02:27] Flexibility, having the flexibility to shift one's mindset as quickly as possible from that negative emotion into something that better serves you. You can either let circumstances control your attitude or you can let your attitude dictate your circumstances. [00:03:42] Not every successful entrepreneur is a good mentor. You want somebody that you know internally, deeply my mentor. Be very discerning when you choose a mentor. [00:06:50] And you mentioned earlier you touched on values, and I think that's important. Is it that we find people who have similar values? Because otherwise, I've always said to people, if you compromise a value, that's like a kick in the gut every time. [00:07:30] What used to work ten years ago doesn't necessarily work now. With one exception, the common denominator that has worked every year is building personal relationships. Now we're at a point where speaking but on camera has also become a very good form of marketing. [00:09:02] What is working right now? And that means being on a live video show or a podcast. It's about showing up and getting exposure that way. That is the number one marketing approach I have seen and witnessed. [00:09:51] When I have a guest on my show, they're typically strategically picked that maybe and in the future I could do business with them. It's about getting to know them, period. If you go about it without the transactional attitude, in my own opinion, then you can build that deeper relationship. [00:14:44] The first thing when you talk to somebody, I forget the icebreaker. First, you need to do X-Y-Z. It's the message that is gold. The next step is to build that relationship. And it's through direct messaging. [00:17:36] Live video is a great way to get exposure for a real estate investor. It's a different dynamic with live. There isn't as much pressure to really bring great value live. Not everybody is going to like you, sorry to tell you. [00:21:25] When you're feeling that feeling, that kind of feeling right there, that fear is usually something telling you that it's what you should be doing. Start shooting shows right now. Know that you will probably suck in the beginning. But don't let any of this deter you. Every show you do, you get better. [00:24:30] Brian, when you go live, do you put that out to multiple at the same time? Live, yes. For me, the main goal is massive exposure. I focus everything I've got on my guest. [00:25:52] A high-quality professional live video show. I have a massive amount of automation built in. Most of that is for communicating with the guest leading up to the show. Then the post-show processing. I've come across three companies in the last six months that have all transformed how I'm producing my podcast. [00:30:37] Paul: I've done this show for a long time, my own show. He developed an agency model where you do it for them. All manually, zero automation. The only thing the person has to do is be present and focus on the guest. The results are phenomenal. [00:35:03] Some real estate investors do things like Zoom Webinars or even now we're coming out of the other side of the pandemic is doing live events again.
