Scott Jurek grew up as a hunting and fishing boy in Minnesota. He became a physical therapist and ran casually on the side. He ran his first marathon, and then a month later ran his first 50k race. He has since ran in and WON dozens of races including 7 consecutive Western States 100s. He has also been a vegan for over 20 years.
